I have preferred skirts over pants and jeans since I was a teen. They come in all types: dressy, formal, comfy, funky.
I even have started wearing a version of skirts for working out: a lot of great athletic skorts out there that don’t have that little old lady look. I just bought a pair of workout capris topped with a skort. Solves that issue of tights that show the outline of, umm, your lady parts.
I know a couple of guys who wear skirts just because they are so darn comfortable.

You might like, http://www.sweetspot.com. They make skirts to wear over your biking shorts or tights so you can be more modest but look great!
Sorry that was the right link. I thought that was the name of the site, but evidently not, sorry!
Try skirtsports.com, they have some nice options.
I’ve always liked the skort look (used to be an exercise instructor)~it’s youthful, flirty, comfy, & most of all, covers whatever flaws!
Hey, thanks for commenting and the suggestions, VNers. I have just started looking into skorts for my more active needs. I like to: hike, bike, run-walk, go the gym and do water sports. A few years ago, I bought a two-piece swim suit with a skirted bottom that I loved but just started seeing other skirted sport options recently.
According to the photo here, what I most recently purchased was a “skite” — skirt and tights. Got it from REI (and it wasnt cheap). Haven’t used it yet but am looking forward to seeing how it works on my regular run-walks, and maybe an upcoming camping trip.
Thanks again!
Moongirl, I took found a pair of those for ,yoga, and loved the idea. I found that dance tights without feet are a bit stronger, hold up better, and that sporting little skirts worn over them were just the ticket here in the colder climates, as I like to wear pants to the club, for warmth, and then just slide on the skirt. Very modest and stylish, add colors, mix up the look for fun.
Gives a nicer look to just a T-shirt and loose shorts that is for sure.
