Is there a liquid makeup that helps reduce lines and lasts at least most of the day. I have tried bare minerals and cover girl but they look matted. Any suggestions

There have been numerous threads discussing foundation, and they can be located by using the “search” box found at the upper right corner of every page.
It is a bit pricey, but once I let a department stores sales lady put Armani on my face, and I saw the difference it made, I was hooked. It covers so beautifully that you require very little, and the bottle I bought last March still has about 1/3 of it in there.
DL – What’s pricey? And do you have to go to a ‘deluxe’ department store? Thanks!
I got mine at Saks, but you can get it online. This one is the matte finish (which is the one I use), but they also have a non-matte one:

I wasn’t sure the department stores around where I live would have – thought I would have to go to Cincinnati or Columbus but found a store close – thanks to your link.
The Web site says $59, I couldn’t find how many ounces.
Really interested in nucerity.
Any more feedback from others?
Nothing much on website.

What is “nucerity”?
In a difference price point, I have come to appreciate Neutrogena “Healthy Skin” liquid makeup. It is advertised right now with the line, “Does your skin feel better even after you take it off.” And I feel that is true. It is SPF 20 and has a lotion-ey feel that leaves my skin softer even after I remove it for the day.
It is about $13 in nearly any store that carries more general cosmetics – I used to love Clinique, Origins, but I have to moderate my purchases these days. It is fun to see a makeup live up to its advertsing. I’d love to have someone compare the two and see which costs less per use and lasts longer.
Do you mean March of 2009? Your bottle has lasted over a year?!!?
Oops…only mean to post one comment. Sorry!
Does this make-up have fragrance? I am very sensitive. Thanks.
really? … I am getting age spots on my face and hate the feel of foundation. Where did you purchase the Armani at?
do you use it every day
thanks
Try a tinted moisturizer – moisturizing will soften the wrinkles. TM will have a more natural look.
Store bought brands just don’t make the grade with me. They never tell you how and if it was clinically tested and what is in it. I use ones that are 100% guaranteed A little goes a long way.http://budurl.com/foundations any questions call.
I’ve used Clinique for decades. Pat it on with a damp sponge. Apply it a couple of times where you need extra coverage. It’s really great if you have sensitive skin; it has a sun block, and doesn’t cake up in lines or wrinkles when you apply it thinly. The secret with any foundation (I found out the hard way) its to put it on in a thin layer, then add more where you need coverage.

I use Liquid Miracle by Jane Iredale and love it. Look up their web site and do a virtual make-over.

Did you mean Liquid Minerals? I found that one here: http://skinelements.com/jairlimi.html. Sounds good! I use the Gerda Spillman foundation called BioFond, which is the best I’ve ever used. You can buy it online http://gerdaspillmann.stores.yahoo.net/bicrfo.html. It’s pricey too but one compact lasts over a year, has a natural look and covers EVERYTHING. I also use their Liquid Pearls primer, which is not silicone based but super moisturizes without feeling at all greasy.
I haven’t tried Liquid but I have tried bare minerals and don’t like it I will have to get some of this thanks
Jane Iredale is the the only make up line that I put on my face. Unlike BM (my boyfriend use to make all of their products so I know what is in them. YUK) JI products are 100% real. Armani and Clinique may stay on a little bit longer, but know that you are putting petro chemicals right on your face. Your face, like the rest of the skin on your body, is the largest organ in the body and will absorb all of the petrolium and preservatives right into your bloodstream. Harmful stuff. These fake and harmful chemicals become free radicals in our bodies. Our immune system does not know what to do with free radicals so it works overtime trying to get rid of them. In the meantime your body is getting more and more weak and sick because the immune system is taxed. Don’t go for products that simply feel good. Go for ones that are not harmful to you or the planet. Jand Iredale is a truly conscious company. I have been using JI products for over 5 years. I have age spots, adult acne, and scars. Jane’s products cover everything. A quick touch up after about 7 hours is all you need to go into the evening. Real products for real people. Don’t give your money away to companies that have no integrity when it comes to making products for skin. We deserve nothing less than the best and the safest products. Read labels. Its your face we are talking about here! Buy the best. Always. Love yourself enough to take care of your face in the most natural and safest way. Never, ever use junk products on your face!! Don’t support companies that make harmful products. Every product in department stores are unsafe. All of them. My ex boyfriend was a chemist. He educated me on all of the crap that is in almost 99% of products on the shelf including lead and mercury! Beware and be smart. Be beautiful, too! If you don’t believe me, go to Cosmeticsdatabase.com and type in any product that you use. Find out what is in your product. It will amaze you!
I love Armani foundation too. Both for how it looks, and how long it lasts….
If you are interested in getting rid of some fine lines and wrinkles this has really been helping me…as well as with some old acne scars and age spots. It also holds in my own moisture comples…so my skin is actually looking fresher and moister…is that a word?!! Sounds weird to me tonight…

Hi – I live in Canada. I was mis-diagnosed about 8 years ago with rosacea by a total idiot of a physician. Then about 1 year ago I was diagnosed CORRECTLY by a genius Dermatologist with lupus pernio (sarcoid) which leaves me with facial redness. I have spent a small fortune on concealers, make up, foundations, etc. The absolute best is COLORTRATION. Available ONLY on-line – http://www.colortration.com. They make MANY different shades. They’re awesome to deal with. Good luck! Elaine
Khiels tinted moisturizer. All their product are sold in white plastic bottols, nothing fancy, keeps the cost down. Also, bring them back for refills and there will be a discount. Love the tinted moisturizer and covers beautifull.
Sounds like something I would like to try. Where would I find this? Thanks.
where do you ge this
I really like the Clinique Repairwear anti-aging makeup with SPF 15. I get a smooth coverage which last through out the day.
I use Miracle Worker anti-aging moisturizer and The Present clear makeup from Philosophy. Outstanding products at a great price! Smoothes lines and evens out skin tone. The makeup is clear, not fleshtone so no blending or worry about matting or looking like “makeup” but really works. I love their entire skin care line. Also their Falling in Love and Amazing Grace fragrances!
Where do you buy the makeup? Thanks
I love the MAC products. Not the bottle, the tube one. (About $28) I think when it boils down to it, it’s more about your moisturizer than it is about the foundation.
I definately agree about it being more about the moisturizer than the foundation.
Another to try is Lauren Huttons makeup for mature skin, I really like it for flawless skin and camoflage I get it from HSN but its probably available somewhere else as well.
I love talking about make-up! I do facial exercises and also use the dermawand. I also feel that using the right products prior to applying the make-up helps immensely. I use a ‘line-filler/plumper’. Also, Oleda Baker sells her line of make-up on-line, and she looks gorgeous at almost 70 years of age. Her line is fairly inexpensive.. I use the 15% alpha hydroxy acid religiously.. I just checked the name of the site, and it is oleda.com It looks like they have 30% off all purchases this month, too. I found her originally on Amazon.com.. and many times, I will go look at the ratings on a product there. I plan to try more of her products soon.. but I definitely swear by the product I have used.

I have a friend who uses it and she is 62 years old. Her complexion looks great and she swears by it. I will definitely try your samples. Thanks for the opportunity to try some of their products.

Naturally, you are going to state that MK is the best, as you are selling it! Personally, I regret spending the $200 to try the line. The reps are trained to encourage you to buy it all to see the best results. Another marketing technique. In fairness, the department store clerk would probably do the same to increase the sale.
Unfortunaley, we can all be taken with marketing hype like, “double Blinded tests…where 9 out of 10 women choose Mary Kay”.
I am in my 60′s with lovely skin and I look much much younger, which I am very grateful for, but that is mostly because I have taken care of my skin. I also agree with Silver Queen and the COLORTRATION line – very very good and no middle lady to pay.
Hello Kitts
Sorry you did not have a great experience with Mary Kay products.
I just want ot tell you what Mary Kay used to tell us about breaking the basic skin care set…If you asked me about my chocolate mousse cake and gave it to you, but then when you start making it you deside to leave out one or two ingredients the end result will not be the same.
Well it’s the same with a skin care regimen… you must have all the ingredients for a great looking skin, and when it comes to cosmetics stick with products from one company what ever company’s products you deside to use…the reason being is every company develops thier products with ingredients to complement one another…so you have better results with products working together and not against each other.
Mary Kay consultants are really well trained professionals that built their business on happy satisfied customers.
This company has gotten here today do to happy customers because it was word of mouth back when i started with the company.
Mary Kay’s philosophy was to take the best care of our customers and be sure they are happy with what they are using and receiving the results they desire or if not totally satisfied to refund thier money cheerfully.
It’s that total commitment to customer service that makes this company stand out from the rest.
I am glad you are enjoying a great looking skin… Good for you for taking care of your skin…after all it’s the only face we have…and when we look good we definetly feel better.
I want again to thank you for sharing your thoughts here… that is very important for women to read good and bad comments as well so they can make better educated desisions.

Thanks for this opportunity. I tired MK before but the salesperson didn’t know much about the products and the ahades were all wrong and it got complicated. I will be in touch with you.
