Ingrown Hair Where?

Ok everyone, I have learned something valuable this weekend that I never thought of before. The thing I learned is how we sometimes keep thngs to ourselves because of fear and possible embarrassment. This last week I had something happen that is a first… an ingrown hair. Now I am not talking on the arms, face, legs, etc. It was in the down there region. I had a lump and thought omg I have something fatal. I wasn’t sure what to do so I followed my instincts and went to visit my best friend, Google. First I had to search to body parts and find out the exact name of the area as I was pretty sure “lump down there” would not bring about the needed info. It was called Labia Majora and after some research I figured out I probably had an ingrown hair or maybe a cyst. Now in 50 years, I have never heard of such things. I then called my next best friend who is a nurse and told her not to breath a word about the question I was to ask because I knew she was standing next to her husband. She asked me if the lump was tender and I said yes. She reassured that because there was discomfort it was most likely something simple and not cancer. She told me to soak in a bath of Epsom salts with very warm water. I did as she instructed. Today I was talking with another friend and she told me she had a few ingrown hairs in the same foreign area and once she had to have it lanced… ouch. That alone scared the heck out of my vagigi and it burst within 5 minutes. I know it was probably the salt bath from last night but I can be known for dramatics! I have to say the timing was too ironic. I immediately did another salt bath to make sure all is well. To end, I wanted to share this in case there is another tramatized soul amongst you with similar Vagigi blues. Don’t be like this dramatic queen and think the worst right away. While we always have to air on the site of caution with our health it is good to not jump to the wrong conclusion and begin a conversation between Google and your women friends out there.
