Instead of stocking up on grey hair dye, maybe you should be collecting recipes to reverse and prevent grey hair color instead.

Grey hair and food
Folklore, science and old wives’ tales suggest that many different foods are useful at preventing and combating grey hair color. Vitamin B12, Omega 3 and folic acid are needed by hair and hair follicles, and keeping your diet rich in these needed nutrients could help prevent premature grey hair. Vegetables radishes and spirulina are rich in copper, a mineral that’s directly tied to pigmentation (color) in hair and skin. Spirulina is a type of seaweed that’s rich in vitamins A, E and B as well as copper. Avocado is also rich in copper, and contains very healthy dietary fibers and vitamin A. All three ingredients may be used in soups, salads, salsas and dips, eaten raw or cooked, together or separately.
Some research indicates that catalase in the body will counter-act the natural build up of hydrogen peroxide in the hair follicles that ultimately leads to grey hair color. Eating a catalase-rich diet, therefore, may not only prevent the appearance of grey hair but even reverse it. Sweet potatoes are a very useful source of natural catalase and very nutritious. Onions, kale, carrots, celery and leeks are also rich in catalase. All of these ingredients can be used in casseroles, and sweet potato fries are a healthy hair-saving treat. Pair it with an avocado dip that’s rich in onions, leeks and celery, and you have a delicious treat that might just help you reverse grey hair color.

When eaten raw, fruits like cherries, bananas and pineapple also provide you with natural catalase. These fruits are tasty ingredients in salads, smoothies, yogurt and even when eaten alone.
