In the past, I tried temporary color rinses, which left my hair dry, brittle, and frizzy, so I knew my (fine, curly) hair would never survive permanent hair coloring.
I did some research on natural hair coloring, and have discovered henna. I love using pure henna (no coloring or chemicals added). It brings out the natural color within your hair, and highlights the white hairs with a color that is natural to your own. I order it online from the site titled Henna for Hair (with the “dot com” ending). There are many henna how-to videos on youtube.
My understanding is that henna-with-differing-color-shades is still just permanent hair coloring with added henna for conditioning. Pure henna leaves my hair silky soft, smooth, and shiny.
I get constant compliments on my hair now. A younger man, who works on my son’s wheelchairs, noticed the difference and complimented how vibrant I looked.

Oh my gosh! I felt your inner pain ... and I apologize for the fact that when I got to the part about setting your hair on fire, I laughed. I'm so glad you weren't hurt, and hair grows back. Perhaps a new hair-do would not only rectify the situation 
There is no such thing as a legal separation in my state..The only way I can get husband out of the house is to force him out..He refuses to leave..I would have to file for divorce and get temporary orders including a restraining order..

Oohh, this looks very interesting! I have just been to the Henna for Hair page and I like what I read. I do believe that my next dye job will be a Henna job.
I LOVE HENNA. been using it for years now and I get compliments on it all the time. It leaves my hair shiny beyond belief, and my scalp even feels better, no more itching! Be careful though if you have another coloring, you can’t mix it with artificial colorings (so I’ve heard). Mother Earth carries it. and I look forward to using it, it feels so good on my scalp, nice and cool, as opposed to the other dyes that always used to burn!
