Camilla is making news in the UK for a beauty regime that includes “organic face lifts” and an “all-natural” skincare line called Heaven, both by beauty expert Deborah Mitchell.

Mitchell revealed last year that Camilla uses her bee venom beauty treatments, including the Bee Venom Mask – a claim confirmed by Camilla’s spokesperson. Mitchell also claims Dannii Minogue, Gwyneth Paltrow and Michelle Pfeiffer as clients.

Camilla’s endorsement of Heaven helped the UK beauty firm a £100million (approximately $164.8 million) contract with China this month. It’s a ten-year distribution deal, with 2,500 Chinese stores and salons selling Mitchell’s products and employing at least one British beauty therapist at each location, the Daily Mail reports., a website devoted to assessing beauty and personal care products, recently reviewed the anti wrinkle face cream and its key ingredient: bee venom. Bee venom is a known apitoxin, often described as an alternative to Botox, and is composed mainly of peptides, the review notes. It acts as a strong anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.

Mitchell says the bee venom “fools” the skin into reacting as if it’s been stung with melittin, a toxin. This causes blood to rush to the area, stimulating the production of collagen – which strengthens body tissue – and elastin – the protein that helps skin remain taut. The result? An anti wrinkle face cream that Mitchell says will off a middle-aged woman’s appearance if used twice daily.

TruthInAging notes that Heaven’s Bee Venom Mask also contains honey, produced by bees that feed on the New Zealand manuka bush – a proven antibacterial agent, the article continues. It also includes marshmallow extract, which is used for treating skin inflammation, the moisturizer shea butter, rose oil, lavender oil and beta-carotene.

But Vibrant Nation women know you don’t have to spend royally for the best anti wrinkle face cream. The key to effectiveness lies in the product’s active ingredients and how often you use them, not the price. A study by Consumer Report last year showed that the most effective anti wrinkle product was also the most affordable: The Olay Regenerist line, including Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream ($17.18 click here to buy.)

Lois Joy Johnson, former Beauty and Fashion Director of More magazine, strongly recommended the Olay Regenerist line in the Vibrant Nation’s Beauty Guide 2011 Skin Care and Cosmetic Product Guide For Women Over 50: 150 Anti-aging Cosmetics and Beauty Products That Work. Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream works, she says, “due to an amino peptide complex that really does noticeably firm your face with continued use.”
