Has anyone found a good product that gets rid of under eye puffiness? I’ve tried a lot of products in all price ranges and nothing really helps.

I bet I’ve tried all the ones you haven’t . I seem to be allergic to a lot of them. But even the ones I can use don’t help. I found a make-up that is supposed to be amazing – it can only do so much. I’ve even asked about cosmetic surgery – but have been told there really isn’t a procedure. When you find that product let me know!
Benefit’s Ooh La Lift takes away puffiness and also in the off chance that you may have slept long or have been crying, keep a stainless spoon in the fridge and hold it over each eye for a few minutes to reduce the puffiness. You can even put the spoon in the freezer if you like just don’t hold it on for as long. Your eyes may look a bit red after but it soon goes away. Also not so much caffiene..
Here’s the second part of the question. If I get something to take away the puffiness – that stills leaves the ‘ring’ look under the eye – does anything take that away?
I am being serious about this but I read somewhere that preparation H cream works well. That sounds logical as it is supposed to relieve hemorrhoid swelling.
Vitamin K2 cream by Jason
does the trick. I’ve tried the prep H and it’s okay but doesn’t work nearly as well as the K2 ..I also take vitamin K2 orally as it’s good for the bones. I also take burdock root capsules. These work much better than any pricey skin products out there. Silica and biotin are also good for skin and hair. The dark circles will fade over a few weeks of use of vitamin K2 cream, just use it morning and evening. Great for wrinkles too.
Thanks for the tips. I will give it a try. The thing is – my dark circles are actually created by shadows caused by the indentation of the ring around my eye- they aren’t really dark they just look dark. Will K2 help fill in the rings?
Yes K2 over time does wonders for dark circles, and any discoloration. It also helps bruises to fade much faster. Try the Jason K2 for a week, you will like it. I have used it for some time now and never want to be without it..many times it’s the only moisturizer I use.
thanks for this tip I have tried for years and years different products it just doesn’t work – I can’t put any oil around my eyes so would this be OK
I have always used the pricey department store cosmetics, but when my youngest daughter went to Aveda beauty school 8 years ago, she convinced me to try Olay products for my skin care. I am 60 and now receive compliments frequently on my skin, and I did not receive compliments when I used the dept. store cosmetics.
For under eye issues, dark circles, puffiness, I use Olay Definity Eye Illuminating Eye Treatment at night. I don’t use it under makeup during the day because it pills up and makes a mess, but night use that is not a problem. I don’t kow what is in it, but it reduces puffiness and it actually fades the dark circles below my eyes after the puffiness is reduced. I also keep Olay Revitalizing Eye Gel in the fridge for those days after I have a margarita!!!
whatever happened to sliced cold cucumbers for a few minutes? Or how about teabags dipped in hot water used as a compress for a few minutes? I shy away from creams near the eye since if anything gets IN the eye, which during the day is almost inevitable, it will burn.
Sliced cold cucumber in the morning and vit. K2 cream over night works for me at least for now.
I am not new to Vibrant Nation…but I always read it….I love the questions and comments as well as a place for women to go and share problems, solutions and just bond in general….. I would like to know where I can find K2 cream…but more importantly to me right now is how to post MY question about a problem? I was a smoker for 25 years and quit 5 years ago….I now have those awful vertical lines above my top lip….( smokers lines)…. I have tried drugstore fillers (temporary and not very good) I am considering maybe a visit to a dermatologist for injections but I am on a fixed income and surely can’t afford to waste money on something that doesn”t work….Any and all advice would be so very appreciated….I hate not being able to wear great lipstick without it bleeding into my upper lip lines….HELP…..
Hi ga.peach.
I buy my K2 cream in natural community food store along with all the vitamins and minerals. I was wandering if before applying a lipstick would not help to outline your lips with a pencil matching colour of you lipstick first? Maybe the K2 cream might work on your lines above the top lip as well. This cream seams to work well on fine lines around the eyes.
Thanks Vera…I am definatly going to try the K2 cream… I do line my lips and it helps to some degree…I can’t use lip gloss at all…it really does ooze into those dastardly lines….. I have been doing a little research on juvederm injection…but it says it is mainly for the (parenthesis) on the side of your mouth…don’t have those….Thanks for the response <3
Hi ga.peach.
I am glad I could be at least a little bit of help to you. Lip liners do help if applied properly. It does take a little time and practise. Keep on practising.
Believe it or not you still can use a gloss. Choose the gloss that asks to be applied with a stick. To describe it; it looks more like a paint brush not a lipstick type of gloss that is to be applied over already applied lip colour. Than after the colour is applied bring both lips together. Your lips should be relaxed and you should smile at yourself in the mirror. Take a brush with a little bit of a gloss on it. Start applying the gloss from the centre of the lips only half the width of each lip leaving the second half without a gloss. I find out that it is often the viscosity an issue. One can have perfect lips, and if the gloss or colour is too runny than it will spill over the lip line. If the gloss or colour is too thick than both will work like a glue – sealing our lips. It takes time to practise and find the right product to work with.
Let me know how well did you do in finding the cream K2. I had quite a challenging time to find it. There’s another way to make your own K2 cream.
Good luck.
Thanks Vera, You are a doll…. I will let you know when I find the K2 cream….You are right about the gloss…. I think I am trying to apply it like lipstick…so for Church in the morning I will use your tip……Thanks bunches!!!
