I tried the Garnier BB and it wasn’t nearly enough coverage for me!! Strange…Of course I admit the first time I used it…it seemed a little “thick” to put on for me..(used my fingers) so I mixed a tiny bit of moisturzier with it…now, before I give up I will try it again with a sponge and use it “straight” and see what happens…

Re: Men, I really think it depends…I dont’ think they mind foundation if you’re wearing it correctly which means you don’t seem to be wearing foundation….if someone is caking it on or wearing it incorrectly then men, women, boys, girls NO ONE likes it! So I think if you find a foundation that makes you look natural (which is what it’s supposed to do) and takes away all the little imperfections we get as we get older then it’s fine to wear. On the other hand if you’re wearing it and look “made up” all the time….it’s has nothing to do with gender…it’s just not attractive.

I second Lovingmygray’s motion on the Garnier BB for just the reason Bunny mentioned. I’ve had a small cancerous lesion on my face removed and the BB is sufficient to cover the redness left behind by the surgery. I use a soft foam pad to blend carefully and the cream never looks heavy.

No matter what you use, always check for the “mask line.” Too many women spend time working the foundation on their faces and forget to blend it at the hair line and the chin line. Here’s where the foam pad comes in handy.

I got the idea of using Garnier’s BB Miracle skin perfector(like a light foundation) from this website and I love it. It gives me just enough coverage and goes on like silk. I agree that men do not like foundation…my husband being one of them. Yet I am 66 and I need some cover up and color. This is working for me right now. I have also used Laura Mercier foundation which I like but it is more coverage than the Garnier and sometimes I dont want that much. Garnier’s also has sunscreen. I just love this website…I learn so much.

Just for the benefit of women out there who don’t have a close male friend.
MEN really dislike women wearing foundation .Having said that,they,(as a rule) don’t seem to mind a bit of cover up under eyes and around the nose,but blend carefully.I have a lot of men friends and this one thing ties them all together, though they are a diverse group. It can be a deal breaker.So,next time instead of covering,fix whats wrong.Bleach age spots,go see a derm. for problems and one last thing…wrinkles just look worse with a slathering of foundation!

I am desperate for a foundation….oily places (chin) that break out and are very sensitive…but lines and wrinkles, redness and age spots (I’m 58) I have cream, powder, no, no powder, air brush, NO, no airbrush..I’d pay just about anything for the right foundation but just don’t know what to buy. I don’t mind the investment if it works and makes me look younger, not older
