So I was reading “New Beauty” magazine the other day–the publication is really just tons of ads masquerading as “articles.” Hmmm, does that mean these are “farticles” (fake articles)?
Anyway, there was lots of gloss and very little substance. The sheer number of “miracle” products was really overwhelming. To buy everything they were pushing (products and services) would easily hit $100K or more. Quite ridiculous.

But one thing jumped out at me, and it really was an ad – a very simple, straightforward ad for a product called “Nanoblur” made by Indeed Labs. The photo in the ad was compelling and convincing enough that I looked it up on the internet later. Check it out at Nanoblur.com if you’re curious. The photo used in the magazine ad is on the site.
Nanoblur is an “optical treatment” with millions of nano-prisms and no tint. It purports to reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines and textural damage on your face and hands. The product contains no nasty parabens and there is no animal testing. It claims to make you look 10 years or more younger in 40 seconds. Sounds good to me! What sounds even better is the price–$19.00 a tube plus S&H. Now that’s what I call “hope in an affordable jar!”

Their other product is Snoxin which purports to be 4 times better than $500 serums at reducing wrinkles and sagginess with its multi-peptide formulation. It also says it is better than most laser treatments and injections. Results should be visible within 3 days and you get continued improvement with sustained use. The older lady in the before/after photo for Snoxin had been using the product for 56 days–the Snoxin side of her face definitely looked better with fewer wrinkles, less deep lines and less sagginess. $39.00 for a tube.
What the heck–I ordered them both! I should have them in 10 days and will blog an update when I’m using them and can determine their effects. Here’s hoping!
Todo bien. (It’s all good.)

Lisa, Thanks for going out on a limb for us…TRACK
No worries, Track! I figure it’s an affordable experiment!
Oh, and I have a correction to the prices I quoted in my blog – Snoxin is actually $39 for a 30 ml tube. Nanoblur is $19.00 for a 30 ml tube.
Lisa, I went to the site and found only one tube that was 19.00 dollars, the other was 39.00 dollars, did I miss something here?…TRACK
waiting to hear back before I get out my credit card!
Morning, Some of us are up on everything! hehe.. hey how u doin’?…TRACK
Still looking for a cheap miracle…lol!
Lisa: I love your posts. Everything you say has this downhome, easy to relate to feel to it. That’s nice. I don’t feel like you’re pushing a product, pushing your book, pushing a high falutan way of thinking or your hobby, or getting on your soapbox to decree a major cause to support. I don’t usually order beauty products online . . . but in this case . . . I just might!!! (smile).
Hey thanks Dynamomma – that’s really nice of you to say. I also enjoy reading what you post and find you very sensitive, well informed and full of common sense! So, how’s that for starting the day with some mutual admiration? LOL
You’ve given me a blueprint for my continued blogging – you’re right, I don’t want to come across as any of those things you’ve listed that you find off-putting. I’m just trying to make meaning out of my life and experiences, share some insights and some laughs, poke fun at my own foibles and hopefully connect with other women.
I’ve been enjoying your posts as well. Keep it up.
Wow – nice to hear from another of my favourite VN ladies! Okay, I will endeavour to “keep it up”!
Hi Lisa,
I have to look around to find out what you’ve written so I can enjoy it too. I don’t log on regularly so I may have missed something integral.BUT you information about the facial creams was very entertaining. I am concerned about the realiability of any product called Snoxin! My friends think I have a tendancy to be silly and if I mentioned that I put Snoxin on my face they’d never believe me. Where should I look for your book, or will my eyes be flarted froim reading too much?
Roz
Hi Rosalyn,
Thanks for your post – I am on VN’s Blog Circle – my blog is “The Burning Woman” if you want to read more. Ciao!
I was at my pharmacy waiting for new HRT and browsing in the meantime. I saw this stuff, the two products side by side, on display. I put some Nanoblur on my right hand. I held it up to my left hand. Said to myself immediately – gotta get me some of this! I bought the stuff without even checking the price. That it is only $20 (Canadian, in my case) is just bonus. It’s like Photoshop that you apply like makeup.
If you use it though, I must warn, make sure it is totally dry before you try to put any sort of liquid or cream foundation on (I never tried powder). This Nanoblur stuff is sort of sticky at first and the foundation just glued to it in patches.
I’m not as convinced about the Snoxin though. Maybe i didn’t give it enough of a chance yet, but so far I prefer my Roc Wrinkle Filler for a relatively inexpensive (they are the same price/oz), relatively effective, wrinkle cream. When I run out of Roc I’ll give that tube of Snoxin another chance.
Sounds like Nanoblur worked for you, Thanks for sharing, can’t wait to purchase. I will let everyone know the results.
I am in Canada, too (B.C.). At what store did you buy it?
It was a Rexall Pharmacy
it asks for a promotional code
anyone knows what or where that is??
goodness alittle can really help when u r on social security……..
thanks, i am going to try it
but will wait for a code…………
Skip the promotional code box and just enter the other required info to order. I didn’t enter a promotional code and my order went in just fine.
I got the two products two days ago and am VERY happy with them both. Nanoblur instantly took at least 5 years off my face, and after 2 days of using Snoxin I think my forehead lines and crowsfeet are already diminished. Both products go on nicely and are weightless. I highly recommend them!
Lisa, Thank you for this information! I have a related question – does anyone know of a real solution for dark circles under the eyes? I’ve tried several products, including Hylexin which is supposedly for “serious dark circles”, at $99 a tube. I followed instructions faithfully but it didn’t make a dent. Wrinkles I can handle, but the dark circles are what really age. Thanks!
Try Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics brand under eye concealer – doesn’t cake and reflects light (kinda like Nanoblur) to optically hide dark circles.
Was recently surprised that Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics did indeed make the dark circles better; however, it is a make-up product that I have to apply each day to get the coverage. It doesn’t make the dark circles better…just covers them better. Will continue to use it though. So much nicer than having people ask if I’m feeling all right or tell me that I look tired! Thanks VRich for letting me know that the Hylexin is not what I need to be spending my money on! Sure thought about it!
I use the Jane Iredale eye concealer, as does the woman under my post. I love it. Best under eye concealer I have ever had. Doesn’t make the wrinkles stand out more as some do.
