BB Cream Foundation by Garnier – miracle skin perfector! Most Liked Hot Conversation

From Annie

I just started using the BB Cream by Garnier. This one has a SPF 15 sunscreen built in.  It comes in 2 shades, Light/Medium and Medium/Dark.  It goes on very sheer, but covers imperfections and evens out skin tone, incredibly well!  It leaves your skin feeling soft and silky.  Another HUGE plus is that it is found in stores such as CVS for well under $15!  I recently paid just under $11 for a tube that was on sale. The label says “Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector” and it really does seem to work miracles!  I also am a huge fan of the Bare Minerals line and use their blush and bronzing powder over this… all very sparingly.

Thank you so much for this recommendation! I have spent mega dollars on different brands of makeup in the last 3 months: Clinique, Bare Minerals, L’Oreal, Revlon…and every one of them just seemed to lie on top of my skin or set in my pores. This product is awesome. It has just the right amount of coverage with none of the aforementioned problems. I love it! And it was under 10 dollars with a coupon from Walgreens!

I have been using this product for about a month.  I had tried another bb cream, a good product by Dr. Brandt, but it was VERY expensive.  This product is very creamy, easy to smoothe on and doesn’t look cakey at all!  I am a realistic 62-year-old, and I don’t kid myself that any OTC product will take 20 years off my face.  But this bb cream helps make the best of my skin!

Is this product a tinted moisturizer or actual foundation?  I am hooked on Christian Dior Foundation which is pricey but it makes my skin look better than it ever did.  But I can always try something new.  I had used Bare Minerals as foundation, but find that liquid foundation really makes mature skin look hydrated and dewey and so soft.  Better than the minerals now that I am in my 50′s.

I use MISSHA BB cream with a 42 spf.  I love it.  The coverage is good and I don’t have to use a foundation over it.  I may try the Garnier next time as the Missha is a little pricey however, with only an spf 15 are you worried that you will need to reapply during the day?  That would be my concern.

Bought it after reading the review here and love it. It has an SPF of 15 and does just what every one said it did.

The only tiny problem I had with it was my eyebrows.  My eyebrow pencil didn’t want to adhere over the BB cream.  Next time I’ll dry off my eyebrow area and try it.  (I don’t have eyebrows, they are shaved off.)

I read and tried myself and this works.  After you apply your eyebrows, apply alittle gel on top to keep in place.  It really works

I use a powder eyebrow product.  Bare Minerals has one, and I believe there are others.  Works just fine for me with the BB cream.  As an update, I’ve continued to use the Garanier BB cream daily and love it more every day.  It really evens out the tone of my skin, reduces red and darker spots, and those tiny little veins are invisible. I don’t need as much concealer on dark circles in the eye area, either.  I spent a good part of last weekend doing yard work in the sun, and appreciated the extra protection.

After reading the rave reviews, I decided the price wasn’t a huge gamble. I have wasted money on drugstore foundations before, but this seemed more fool-proof on color match, with only two shades, and everyone here seems to like it a lot.  So it took me three stores, and I had to pay full price (12.99), but I got some yesterday.

Initial reaction – very positive.  It goes on light and easy, like some very expensive foundations I have used from MAC and Lancome (and at a much friendlier price!).  I only have a little redness around my nose to cover, and undereye circles that I like to play down, and it did both beautifully, and blended very well with my skin tone, which is very fair, but with a lot of pink (making most foundations too white, or too dark  to match).

If it doesn’t irritate – and I see no signs of it after a couple of hours, this one’s a keeper!  Thanks for all the people who tried and recommended this!

Dr. Oz just mentioned BB (an ingredient) in Smashbox cream also. He says it is a great anti-aging cream (similar to Garnier I guess). Dr. Oz says it removes spots and wrinkles. What else could we ask for??

      Hello-
I just turned 64 and use very little foundation as I never get the perfect colour. Will try this BB and see how it works.
Please advise what the cream is called that Dr Oz recommends for dark spots. I have quite a few and uneven skin tone. I am of Indian descent with olive coloured skin, not dark -looks like I am tanned. Please  reply-
Thank you all for the great information. I used to wear make-up all the time when I was working full time -Regards- Sekina Suleman

I’ve found I can use this as a combination of daytime moisturizer and foundation.  I use L’Oreal’s Bare Naturelle powder over it and it works just fine.

I bought some Lancome products recently and the SA thought I was wearing foundation, my skin looked so perfected. I told her I was wearing Garnier BB cream! I am a foundation junkie but love this stuff for day. For evening events, I like Chanel LIft Lumiere or Cle de Peau for a more polished, refined look.

I read this initial post just before vacation, and decided it would be a great time to experiment. I tried the Garnier and also tried Rimmel 25-hour makeup … both are good, but I really liked the Garnier – it stayed nice (and protected my skin) for a whole day of mini-golf … it won the contest hands-down!

I will defintiely try BB Garnier for daytime use and CD foundation when I need a little more makeup.  I’d love to know the name of the product that Dr Oz recommended for dark spots?

Hi, Be careful. This cream contains denaturated alcohol which should not be in any face product because it is extremly drying!
