Crows Feet Begone: The Movie Most Liked Hot Conversation

As you know, I’m product testing the PaloVia laser wrinkle remover. I’m happy to report the skin around my eyes is tightening up! Here’s a little video to show you how it works.

Testing the PaloVia Laser Wrinkle Remover from Pam Brown on Vimeo.

You’ll notice that even though I have the laser set to the highest setting, I don’t scream in pain. It’s barely uncomfortable and the longer I use it the less I notice any discomfort.

Special thanks to the hubs for missing a portion of the Nashville Predators’ NHL playoff game to shoot the video.

Full disclosure: Palomar provided me a complimentary PaloVia laser for my use in this study and the company will provide transportation, lodging, food and photo shoot in Manhattan. The PaloVia retails for $499. Click here to learn more about it.

Win a PaloVia Laser Wrinkle Remover!

This just in…

This can be yours!

The nice folks at Palomar are allowing me to give away one laser wrinkle remover to a lucky Vibrant Nation reader. While I’m happy to take your bribes, my colleagues at VN are handling the drawing for me.

To enter, simply respond to this post by May 11, 2012 and answer:

How far would you go to remove wrinkles? Creams, non-surgical treatments, cosmetic surgery?

A random drawing will determine the winner. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 14, 2012 in this post, and in the Vibrant Nation newsletter.

Good luck!

The contest is over! Congratulations to the winner, VN member Melissa F.!

I have tried them all except cosmetic surgery with little results.  If it wasn’t for the cost and the amount of time out of commission I would seriously consider surgery. The laser sounds like a viable option, I would love the chance.

I am constantly trying new products to reduce the wrinkles under my eyes…even facial exercises.  If I had the funds, I would definitely try cosmetic surgery.  Our eyes seem to be the first place to show age, and since they are the window to the soul, I may be an old soul, but I’d rather not look like one!

I’m constantly trying some type of oil or cream, but want to try the new fillers and of course the laser treatment.

To Retiree 58,  Your post is very interesting.  I am happy for you to have achieved such great & satisfactory results.  My surgeon is in Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I am 65 & am quite pleased with my results, as well.  I don’t look like a 40 year old but might pass for 50 (on a good day LOL)  I am so thankful to have had the ability to pursue a surgical solution to a lot of wrinkled & excess skin after a 100 pound weight loss. I would be very interested in the laser to continue with the efforts.

Currently I use every cream under the sun.  Without the funding I definitely could not have cosmetic surgery. With the funding not sure I would want the pain. I don’t know the face I currently see in the mirror anymore though!

Thanks just turned 60 and this was my gift to me. It has turned the clock back at least 15 years, there was not much pain just irritations with stitches and staples. It wa so worth it.
The cost was incredible and its only been 7 weeks and no complications at all.
You can see my photos on real self. …..60 loving it…..
I now have my other face back and its all good.

I would like to see your photos.  How would I access them?  What a wonderful BDay gift.  I do not know the years I took away from my appearance. My Dr. says at least 15 but I thought that may be wishful thinking. I await the verdict when my family sees me for the 1st time later this month.  They have not even seen a picture of the new me.
I was surprised at the no pain, as well.  I guess I had my self psyched for enduring whatever.  I was in surgery for 8 hours as I also had the excess skin from both upper & lower arms removed.  I looked a bit like a zombie/mummy for a few weeks but it was so worth every minute of it.  It has been 5 months (12/12/11) & healing is still taking place but that is not visible to others except the “zipper” scars on my arms.  Aaaaah, what we won’t endure to feel good about ourselves. & I feel FABULOUS!!!!!

How far would I go to remove wrinkles? This is how far I’m going. I’m telling all the Vibrant Nation members I use wrinkle fillers between my brows.  Then I apply cover-ups and concealers under and over foundation formulated for ”mature” women.  I do this because if I lower my brows just a little I look angry, jealous or mean.  To admit all this, I must really want to win the PaloVia Laser Wrinkle Remover.

I would go so far as to use topic treatments and consider injections just to lighten my expression. The other thing I would do (and I do) is adjust my diet so that I am eating less refined foods. That makes a difference as well, but I would still like to have a fresher look.

well i dont want wrinkles but im a chicken when it comes to pain and my sister says im too cheap to get the good stuff so i guess the farthest i would go would be the creams. i think anything you do to improve your self is good for you but you have to be beautiful on the inside first.

No perfect solution to looking better. But do think you can get some pretty great results with botox and fillers, but I’d love to try LASER treatments too!

As for surgical treatments, waiting to get them too late is problematic I hear. Have you heard the following? “When women in their 40′s get a facelift they are delighted; when women in their 50′s get a facelift they say why did I wait so long; when women in their 60′s get a facelift they say why did I bother.”  ( ha, ha)

I think the best weapon against winkles is smiling. I often catch my reflection in the glass window of my front door, usually while struggling with too many bags. My reaction is always the same…darn I look old, then I smile, and the winkles seem invisible, they fade away. I wish I could walk around with a smile on my face all the time that would not only make me look younger it would also make me look just a little crazy…maybe I just need more to smile about.

I have actually checked out going to Costa Rica for plastic surgery. Many people do because it costs about 1/3 of the price. A huge number of the plastic surgeons, doctors, and dentist in Costa Rica are trained in the U.S. Have an awesome vacation and come back looking 15 years younger and the price is still cheaper than a week in Italy.

Laura — Costa Rica would be a great choice, and you don’t have to be a bargain hunter to want your plastic surgery done there. Wealthy Central American women choose Costa Rica because its medical centers are cutting edge and it’s where some of the finest doctors in the world practice.

I would go to smiling ;-) , creams and the laser treatment (if it was available). Are there any issues with eye safety in reference to the light? Does the laser stimulate the tissue to help it produce cells? Thanks for sharing.

In Mexico the doctors speak english and are well trained a lot in the US also. Plus the cost compared to very expensive Alberta Canada was 1/5 the cost and very safe.
I agree with the smiling but wow those jowels and turkey neck were really bothering me.
    Now 60 and loving it…

Just uploaded my new “60″ face…Now 7 weeks after surgery.
I do have the PaloVia and will use it after the swelling goes down from 3-12 months. I might be good now into my “80′s” with both…LOL
      Why not look good.

To Retiree58,  I checked out the before /after of you.  Great results.  I posted to your review on there.
My family is aware of my cosmetic procedures but have not seen me since having them done.
I would sure like to know how the PaloVia Laser would work to help maintain the gain? & How many treaments & how often it would require to look the best?  How long does any progress last after using it?

Although I would like to “grow old gracefully” I see no reason not to have a little work done if you can afford it. However, I would only do this after all other attempts have failed. The laser wrinkle remover would go a long way toward exhausting all other alternatives. In the mean time, I’ll keep using new creams, and anything else that gives at least temporary results.

I am 63 and have had my share of hardships throughout my precious life, so I am limited financially in just how far I would go to remove the well earned wrinkles.  As I am on disibility, I have never had the luxury to even dream of such treatments! Wow, to look younger…just imagine that!  I feel confident that I would not go under the knife, even if I could afford it.  Don’t believe that all those anti-aging creams can reverse damage enough to make a big difference, but commend those lovely ladies that do take the time to care.  Therefore, probably the lazer treatment is what I would love to try one day.  Good luck to me!

One year ago I had a goal. Being retired I did not have the cash. So I went back to work  part time.  I really  didnt like the job but had a vision, I wanted a facelift for my 60th bday gift to myself. So I saved $10,000.00.

I went to 4 surgeons in our city but they were almost $25,000.00. So then I looked international knowing of very good surgeons in Cancun. To my delight I found Dr Velasco with the total amount $5900.00. So now I have some savings and a younger me. So my goal worked and I have always believed where there is a way I will find it…

Honestly, if money were no object, I’d opt for surgery to improve the area around my eyes and I’d get fillers to increase volume in my cheeks, along with botox for my crows feet, forehead lines and 11′s between my eye brows. I’m not afraid to have surgery; I just can’t afford it. That’s why products and/or devices such as PaloVia are so attractive to me because it could afford me the ability to improve my skin at a more affordable price.

I wish every woman could have the option with great research, to have the best, surgery to improve what mother nature gave us. Taking care of ourselves means a lot to our inner self.
Since my surgery 8 weeks ago I feel my old cloud lifted. I am not compulsive so who knows if I ever get more work done. I believe whatever works do it. The PaloVia does work . But I am impatient and saved my money for my new  makeover.
