Thinking about jeans that fit us now … All my adult life I’ve tended to wear trousers. But lately I’ve started to feel I’d really like to wear skirts!
After all that’s a privilege us ladies have … the choice …
Wearing a skirt makes me feel more feminine, helps me to emphasise my feminine power. How do you feel about skirts?

LOVE skirts! They are a powerful garment for professional women. I favor pencil skirts, not too short, and a well tailored blouse. low pumps for office, and taller heels for out at night look great.
I love dresses because I can put them and go. I love pencil skirts and a nice blouse with an interesting piece of jewlery. My favorite outfit is a black pencil skirt, a clingy tie dyed tee shirt and wedge heels. It makes me feel feminine and powerful, although I hadn’t thought of it like that until you mentioned it.
Some skirts are great for lounging around too. I have several long skirts with pockets and drawstring waists made of fleece that are cozy and comfy for by the fireside times. Also I have some lovely colorful maxi skirts that are I like to wear for casual times. Skirts don’t have to be just for work or dress up. I like having variety and choice of skirts or pants for any (or no) occasion!
I have preferred skirts over pants and jeans since I was a teen. They come in all types: dressy, formal, comfy, funky.
I even have started wearing a version of skirts for working out: a lot of great athletic skorts out there that don’t have that little old lady look. I just bought a pair of workout capris topped with a skort. Solves that issues of tights that show the outline of, umm, your lady parts.
I know a couple of guys who wear skirts just because they are so darn comfortable.
Never again in this lifetime. Gave up pantyhose when I began chemo, It was my right of passage. No skirts, No dresses, No pantyhose. Too darn much trouble.
Bought a few skirts this year and have had to re-learn how to sit and bend over without displaying what color panties I have on. My legs are my best asset and they’ve been hidden under pants for years. The fashion of not wearing nylons makes it easier, but my older legs have a few more spiders on them than younger girls do. There’s makeup to cover them if I really want to. Have plans this winter to wear tights (saved them from years ago) and skirts. The skirts are just above the knee. Who says that older women can’t have good legs?
