I’ve been using BIH for about 5 months and wonder if it’s working. I’m an active 67 year old woman. I’d like to improve the rather drawn look on my face without much makeup. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I’m 54 and have been using BIH for 2 years and don’t know if it’s halting the march of time across my face very much. I never thought of it as something that would help with that. I have a friend who is 67 and she looks great, has been on BIH for 20 years, it does seem to help maintain youthful body contours, of course she bikes 5 miles a day which doesn’t hurt. Maybe a good hydrating, collagen boosting cream would help. I had one Titan laser treatment in June 2008 and it had an immediate tightening effect around my mouth and under my chin. Was a bargain at $ 600.00. It continued to stimulate the collagen for 6 months afterwards, chin still looks great. I will probably have more done on mouth this year, it really flattens lines well.. If you decide to look into laser treatment make sure the personnel have been professionally trained, there are all kinds of businesses offering these services, do your homework.
Thanks for responding! The lazer treatments sound intriguing. I’ll check into them. I live in S. CA where youthful looks are worshiped, and there are contant ads on how to improve your image. Lifestyle Lift is the most promoted prochedure, but it’s rather costly and can only be done in certain locations. Frankly, I wish this face thing didn’t bother me so much… it seems I’m being rather shallow, yet I buy every product on the market that promises help. Many thanks for your advice!
We all want to look our best for as long as we can. The face is something we can’t really hide. We just don’t want to look like we are trying too hard. The worst complaints I have heard about aging in this country are the feelings of becoming invisible and irrelevant…S.Calif has got to be a tough place to age gracefully with all the hardbodies running around half naked.
Some creams can help with temporary plumping of the skin which softens fine lines and I use them too. Lifestyle lift appears to be more invasive than laser, it believe it involves pulling the skin back with suture. The after pictures look very dramatic. Laser results are more subtle and natural. The tiny areas of injury that the laser creates will cause the skin to go to work to repair itself = new collagen production = tighter, smoother skin. Fractional laser is another less invasive method that a family member has used and the results were very good, but natural, not dramatic. Hope this helps…
Thank! You’re very helpful and sound quite well informed! I’ve read a lot of complaints about Lifestyle Lift on the internet. I always try to do some research before I dive into something expensive and/or possibly invasive.
I have had those feelings of being invisible in that I was once an attractive younger woman, and I’even tho I’ve stayed in good physical shape, I’ve felt irrelevent in places such as an Apple Store where the sales force and most customers are young and savy! I could barely get waited on! Being from the South, S. CA was a rude awakening!! Thanls, again for all the good advice.
