I am 59 years old and recovering from a 20+ year eating disorder. So….I’ve gained weight and am feeling like, you guessed it, Aunt Bee! I’m only 5’3″ and am apple shaped. Any ideas where I can buy attractive and NON-MATRONLY clothing for a size 14/16? I’ve spent too much time looking at plus sized clothing geared for a teenager. I’m not into showing cleavage, thank you very much.

Perhaps my perspective on this is different. Continuing to be on dating sites is not an immediate sign that the man you are dating is looking for someone new. Often I find that people who have dated people they've met on the dating sites are more anxYes I get that you meant in the work place, not dating. But the original poster did use the example of Julia Roberts getting what she wants from a man by using her femininity. I don't see that as strong. As you know she was a hooker? This comparison It seems to me the only response is: you are right and leave it at that. Nothing else except to walk away.Paula, if you don't mind,, I would like to ask is in what way did she defend her? Did she say it wasn't her fault that she took up w your ex? Is she defending her actions since?
I do agree however with other posters however that those who haven't I have read all of the post to date and appreciate the good references. I have gone to the websites to read/listen and have ordered the books. I ordered hard copies so that others will have the same references. I look forward to the continuatio

Try OneStopPlus. They have some really pretty clothing and links to a variety of specialty sites that will give you a great selection of clothing, although size 14/16 is still considered a Misses size. Good luck with your search.
Kohls’ has a wonderful plus size section.

If there’s a Christopher & Banks near you give them a try. Their clothes are not matronly, but also not for teeny boppers. I wear 12-14 and always find lots of cute things there.
Not sure where you are at, but in Canada, we have Mark’s Work Warehouse.. most people think its for men & safety boots, but they have lots of nice clothing… not “teeny bopper” style, but I’m 53 and think its great.. as WELLLL a Large is a Large and they have XL.. which is generally what i wear…. Good Luck
