i love this site.for many reasons…but i am curious, maybe we are neighbors and don’t even know it…..maybe some day we can have lunch with each other. i live in Knoxville, tennessee…..so i am wondering where you all live…

The toughest part for me, as an adult who has put my difficult childhood behind me, is dealing with family members who are in denial about anything being amiss about how we were raised and the impact this has had on our on-going relationships.

I will be visiting a friend whom I haven’t seen for 7 years. She moved to Terrace and then Fort St John from the Island and just in the past few weeks drove across to Halifax, where she has family. Also she wanted to be closer to her daughter in Ottawa. I arrive Aug 17 until 25th. Think I just might be brave enough to rent a car and do a little touring by myself!!
have been looking at Musquodoboit Harbour on the internet – think I will have to visit and go walk along Martinique Beach – looks beautiful. What can you tell me about staying at The Tourist Trap? Where from there can I get to see the tides of the Bay of Fundy? I much prefer quieter, out-of-the way places rather than busy, very touristy places. Though if I do rent a car by myself, that’ll be a first for me!

I’m in Endicott, NY, a few miles outside of Binghamton in upstate New York. Wow, at least we’re in the same state. I’ve always loved the Adirondack area. How are your winters? Do you live there year round?
Flower Bear – Yes, I have been here year round for 4 years. Winters are really tough – especially for me because I live back in the woods on a private road and it’s all my responsibility. I went from a farm girl (who actually commuted to work for 8 years in NYC!) to a mountain woman and have found myself tougher in so many ways – even healthier! Let me know when you want to visit!
