Silda Spitzer vs. Jenny Sanford

Unlike Silda Spitzer who stood by the disgraced New York governor’s side when he copped to cheating, Jenny Sanford stayed home while her hubby blubbered about his emotional turmoil on national TV.  Who did the right thing?

Both women handled the adultery their own way. I would not have stood with him, but that’s me. Jesse Jackson wife was in a church service and he on the platform “Saying Jackie we’re still together” puck! When it is our turn hopefully never, how will we handle it? And Jackson was advising Clinton at the time, I believe, so much for that! Public/private lives

I agree, TRACK, each woman acted in the manner which she thought was best for herself and her children. Both were right. Me? There’s no way I would support him publicly or privately, I’d be too busy consulting with my divorce attorney.

The popular response options seem to be (a) stand by your husband, (b) stay at home and watch him squirm on television, or (c) whallop him a la Brenda Richie and Elin Woods.

Jenny Sanford did the right thing.  Even if you are going to stay with your husband, you don’t have to stand beside him and be humiliated in public.

Jenny Sanford.  I would say Jenny Sanford irrespective of the content of the speech- since she decided that he can take his medicine alone-why should she be humiliated publicly?.    But, boy, if anyone blew an apology speech it is Mark Sanford on that day.  What the hell were you thinking, Mark?  Your mistress was a “dear, dear, friend and you hurt her”?  Have you ever heard the phrase “know your audience”?.  Your entire state, your wife and sons were watching this.  If you want to give your mistress a message, do it private, you a**hole, so your boys and wife don’t have to witness.
