Ooops he did it again…..

My husband and I went to dinner tonight as we typically do on Saturdays, then decided to do a bit of shopping. We were there maybe an hour when one of his friends called to say that he and several others were going out and asked him to go along. We dropped everything and headed back home. Wow, big shock there.

Not sure where you are going with this. Is this is an old habit and you are wanting to change it or have you discussed it before he is not responding the way you want.  We teach others how to treat us.  Does he know this bothers you?  Have you set up boundaries, like Fridays are girls/boys night out and Sat is date night and disregarding “my time” makes me feel unimportant. Hope this helps!

I have talked to  my husband until I’m blue in the face about “my time” but it has no impact. His answer is always that at least he took me out and some time. This is quickly becoming a recurring pattern. He knows I don’t like this, and that it feels like he’s dropping me like a hot potato for his friends. We had made plans for Thursday night, but after having gone out with his friends last night, our plans have been scrubbed so he can play volleyball with the guys. Why even make plans with me in the first place? He makes plans with me and then pulls the rug out. It’s hurtful and he is well aware of it.

I was married to one of those, at the time i was just 20 and it hurt like hell.  Try doing it to him one day to see what happens.  Pick a day that he really wants you involved in something; then have a girlfriend call u and just leave him on the spot.  Let’s see how he will behave.

He doesn’t care about your feelings.  That is a shame.
