health taking a turn for the worse

During the last year my health has worsened.  I’ve developed respiratory problems.  I work part-time and sometimes it’s very hard to do a good job.  The worst part is the effect it has on my marriage.  It upsets my husband greatly.  He is frequently angry and expresses it to me in a hurtful way.  He expects my doctors to cure me instantly or at least quickly.  He is suspicious of their diagnoses and treatments.  All this causes a lot of stress for me which makes my illness worse.  Any suggestions?

Same old same old.  Stand up for yourself, do some research, determine what the meds you receive are really for.  Ignore the old man, if there is something to be done, hire someone or he can do it.  This is likely an accumulation of factors finally expressing as illness.  Network a new doc, network a therapist, research stress then get a book/cd on meditation.  Take up knitting, crochet anything to lull the mind.  If Mr. does not like it, well you just have more information, and a new topic for therapist.  It sounds like you are literally “running out of breath”  What are you running from or to??

My son had terrible asthma symptoms for which his allergist put him on a cocktail of medications. I was seeing no results and didn’t like the side effects of the meds so I looked elsewhere. I then had him treated by an MD who was practicing Functional Medicine.  She put my son on many supplements and vitamins.  My son was also treated by an accupuncturist.  Within 4 months, all of my sons medical symptoms were resolved and he has been off all of his asthma medications for over 5 years.
If you are not happy with traditional treatment, why not consider alternative treatment.
