I feel lost. I don’t know how to handle it. I feel alone and don’t know where to start.
How does it affect you self esteem when you are 6 years older than your husband? The age difference

I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and can’t imagine life without pets. Yes, the more people I meet the more I like my dogs. lol
I am a animal lover myself and so is hubby… We have 3 dogs, 7 cats, and they are all spoiled… We also feed the strays and now they think this is their home and we wouldn’t have it anyother way… These dogs and cats are more human then humans… They don’t hurt you, lie to you, back stab you, they give you unconditional love and all they want from you is fed, loved and treated right… If I could afford it I would buy a large piece of land and take in all the strays and take care of them, but that is just a dream of mine…. These animals are precious and don’t deserve to be negelected, mistreated and dumped… It just makes me so mad… Have a good day
Like most of you, I can’t imagine my life without my furkids. Unfortunately, we had to put our two older Lhasa’s down the week before Thanksgiving for health problems. They were brother and sister, a litter apart. This completely broke my heart and I miss them terribly. I have suffered pet loss before, but it was due to natural causes; I have never had to put a pet to sleep before. For me, this was much worse! I console myself with the thought they’re not in pain any longer.
I have two other furkids, one a dachshund/chihuahua mix and an unknown medium sized mix. We adopted the dachshund mix almost 2.5 years ago, but the unknown mix adopted us this past Good Friday…. a very young puppy, he was a drop off and found his way unto our property. They ease some of the pain of my loss but I will always miss my Lhasas.
I have two dogs also, Tyler and Meelo and I couldn’t live without them. They’re my babies. 3 years old Shih tzus.

Hi i have a 5 year old shih poo Hope Diamond. she has her own personality and is loved very much. i can tell her all my secrets and she will not gossip
Hello Just, I have 4 cats, who came to me through the “doorway” of my garden, where the mother placed them for me to find and care for. I grew up with dogs, and what i most like is the unconditional love our pets bring to our lives.
I also have four cats. I didn’t choose any of them, they just came to me in round about ways because they needed a home. Coco, long haired female Siamese cross, I inherited when my Mom died 14 years ago. Bear, long haired black male, 9 years, was rescued by a friend a brought to me when he was about 12 weeks old, Lucy, black long haired female, 3, rescued by my son’s exgirlfriend and needed a home, and Marvin, a local homeless white long haired male unknown age who I took in a few months ago. I love them all and wouldn’t have chosen long hairs, but that was the way they came.
But Bear is my favourite. I love that cat so much it frightens me. He is handsome, cuddly, smart, kind, friendly, incredibly well mannered and a few years ago actually brought me flowers. Much better than having a man! He is my blessing in black, my sweet little man, my beloved, my darling boy. But all of them take care of me. Everything I have done for them, they have given back tenfold and they don’t even know it. Yes, the unconditional love. We can learn so much from these beasts that come into our lives.
I have two dog’s both I got while living in Japan Shbia Inu’s, I will alway’s have a dog as long as life will allow me, Shbia’s will always be the dog’s for me.
.
I have 3 dogs – they are like my children. They bring joy to us everyday and if you look and watch each one…they all have there own personality. They are truely a pleasure to have around.

My Neighbor friend , also a dog (animal lover) gave me a plaque that reads.. the more people I meet the more I love my dogs. Three dogs and two cats. all with different personalities.
It looks like most of the people here are dog people. I like dogs a lot, but am definitely more of a cat person as far as sharing my life with animals goes.
Hi Oceana55 – I’m a BOTH person…at the moment one large dog and one small, black cat. Love them both. They’re so different, yet to great! Over the years we’ve always shared the house with adoptees…dogs that we adopted and cats that adopted us. Everything from a large male Doberman to a small B&W tuxedo cat who walked up the street from a neighbor’s house and refused to go home…even though I took her back 2 or 3 times. This was in spite of the fact that we already had a cat and two dogs! Guess she wanted to live with us!
It looks like there are mostly people with dogs here. I love dogs but am definitely more of a cat person. I have four and can’t imagine not living with cats.
As I mentioned above, I have one dog, Zoey, and had 3 cats. One , Patches, died a few months ago at the well lived life of 23. I had inherited her from my daughter when she got married. Then Max, my orange tabby, we had to put to sleep this last week. He was 15 and developed kidney failure. I held him at the vets. It was a sad time for us. I got him after my Father passed away. I needed a comfort….and the best is a snuggly kitten. We still have Samson, or Sammy Sunshine as I call him. He is our rather large red tip siamese mix that we saved as a feral kitten. I is very independent, as the two other siamese l have had before. Though I love Zoey, whom I got when my kids moved out. I still consider myself a cat person at heart. I am always looking for another kitten, or cat to adopt, and I probably always will….=]
Yes, it would. But, who would take care of me? I had this conversation with Sandy, my cocker spaniel, just yesterday. He wanted to play, I didn’t. So I said to him, “Yeah, you sleep all day, must be nice. Well, I’m the one that has to work so that you can sleep all day. So, when I want to rest, you’re going to have to deal with it!” He just cocked his head, gave me a pitying look and did the turn around, turn around till he found the best spot to lay down.
