Getting started
Hi. I'm Taylor Miller. Welcome to VibrantNation.com, the website where women over 50 can connect with the only group that always recognizes your real strengths and interests: other women like you. You can exchange information here just like you do with your friends, secure in knowing that they truly get who you are. The more you use Vibrant Nation, the more you'll get out of it. So let me show you some ways to do just that.
Let's say you want to start a conversation or ask a question or share something you can't stop talking about. This is really easy. You just fill out one of our yellow submission boxes (which you can find in lots of places: on the home page, after you click on one of the topics in the left column) and you'll see where conversations take place.
My sister and I have been talking about taking a girls-only trip. But we're a lot more active that most travel companies seem to think. So here's what I want to talk about.
[types] "I need information on a hiking tour to Machu Picchu."After you type your comment, click on Submit and you'll be asked either to log in (if you're already a member) or to set up your own account, which takes all of about 30 seconds. Vibrant Nation knows how important safety is for women and protects the limited information it asks for, which it will never sell.
Once you're done, the great thing is this. Vibrant Nation will send you a message when others have joined the conversation you started or answered your question. With each message, you'll get new ideas from another woman on a similar page in her own life. As good as I felt in earlier stages of life, at this stage I feel like I'm just hitting my stride. At Vibrant Nation, I know I'm talking to others who feel the same way.Joining the conversation
Everything at Vibrant Nation is a conversation or a potential conversation waiting for your comment. If you find something on the home page or after you click on one of the topics or in a special feature, you can always add your own thoughts.
Let's see. "What great novels by women authors are you reading?" Let's take a look at this.
Wow! This is just like being at book group! I love Mae Sarton! I want to add a comment.
[types] "She was in her 60s when she wrote that book."
Now you're either going to have to log in or join to submit your comment, and then you're done. This is important. If you want to know what others are saying in this conversation, be sure to click on the box that says"follow this post." You'll get regular updates when others join the conversation. If you start a conversation, this happens automatically.
A lot of the internet feels like a waste, but not Vibrant Nation, because it's full of women too busy to waste time and too smart to trust just anybody. At Vibrant Nation, we can each use our collective experience, our energy, and our sense of humor to share what we know with our peers. See you there.
