People would be shocked to know that 75% of my "fashion don'ts" came from stores supposedly dedicated to baby boomers and their elders (e.g. Chico's, Territory Ahead, Coldwater Creek, and J.Jill). To me, that's the problem in a nutshell. Their clothes make you look "instantly old."

Do you agree that most clothing supposedly geared for boomer women only succeeds in making you look older? Where do YOU shop for classic, comfortable clothes that are still stylish and modern?

Yes, I agree with Sherrie. It's also true that 99% of the stuff in stores geared for Plus Sizes instantly (and unflatteringly) signals "I'm a Plus Size." When will designers get it? Sandy Dumont

Roamans catalog has had some really great looks for the mature plus size woman.  The colors this fall wer lusicous and the more than a few of the styles I felt beautiful and comfortable in.  Lane Brayant styles are geared toward the 20-30 group.  Catherines has some that don't make me feel anicent, as well as Fashion Bug.  As I said I am "Remebrandt Woman"  finding stylist, comfortable designs I lwill wear is a major feat. I also sew ...  sometimes you have to design what you what.... designers aren't always listening.
