i think there is a designer in QVC or HSN that has this line.   try this link: http://fashion.hsn.com/slinky-brand-untamed-in-paisley_c-fa_a-107-6797_xc.aspx?sz=14&cm_re=LN*Collec*UntamedInP&prev=hp!sf!107&lastbc=!6797&ccm=CL|107  if you cannot get in try hsn.com and under fashion find slinky.

Good Morning Judy S; (by way of Lynette)  Great minds think alike.  I know that  HSN.com will have them.  The designer's name is ANTHONY's FASHION's , he specializes in women's clothes.  You can call HSN and leave a suggestion for him stating what you would like to see .  I'm not that famaliar with QVC, i know they have a much wider selection, and some really great designers, but I've been trying to downsizein many areas of my life and QVC wou;d be too big of a temptation.  I typed it in once and I've tried to never to it againm.  You see  have an account wih HSN and that is bad enough.  God Bess in oyur search.  T.T.Y.L.

Hi Judy! You'll find a number of good recommendations from members here:

Hope this helps!

One word: Chico's. I have wadded, rolled and crammed their travel clothes into luggage. Plus, they mix and match so well, meaning you take less clothes.

Yes, I agree.. Chico's has the BEST, and they've got great accessories to make them go farther!

Ritergal said to Donna Hull 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

Several other stores carry less expensive versions of Chico's travel clothes. I bought a White Stag outfit with culottes, a richly patterened shell and drapey jacket at a discount store for less than the cost of a pair of pants at Chico's. I saw the exact same jacket at Chico's for three times what I paid. I also purchased an ankle-length sleeveless shell-sheath elsewhere in the dame basic black. It works with the jacket, and I already had pants from a third store that I've worn constantly for ten years now. This wardrobe is so versatile! By changing tops and accessories, I can go anywhere from hiking to formal dinners. Mine is also indestructible and wrinkle free after traveling all over the world.

Pennie541 said to Ritergal 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

The difference is that while you do pay more for Chico's clothing, it stands up to lots of washing and still looks good. I have Chico jackets that are more than 10 years old, I wash them, and they are still going strong.

Ritergal said to Pennie541 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

Fact is, my discout stuff is just as tough and performs equally well. I do have a couple of Chico's pieces, and the "discount" pieces are the same fabric, same cut, same stitching, lower price. I'd rather spend my money on trips than name tags.

Definitely Chico's. Their "Travelers" clothing is made specifically for traveling.  Great basics in black, brown and blue and they are always adding new items to their collection for each season.  Great tanks, pants, skirts, jackets, etc.

Chico's carries a line of travel clothes that do not wrinkle and that travel well that are pretty. They are not 100% cotton, but do fit comfortably and are stylish. They can also be mixed with clothes from other stores, I have found.

auddie said to whitecloud 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

CHICOS IS GOOD BUT QVC AND HSN HAVE THE SAME MATERIAL AT A FRACTION OF THE PRICE. I BUY THEM ALL THE TIME THE QVC LINE IS CALLED CITIKNITS AND THE HSN ONE IS SLINKY.

Sherry M said to Judy Simms 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

Nordstrom has a line called "Softwear" by Mark Singer.  It's 6% lycra.  I believe it is similar to what Chico's carries.  It absolutely will not wrinkle.

Sallygg said to Judy Simms 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

Definitely Chico's.  I have been doing extensive travel for 15 years.  I just roll them up and take them out and always wrinkle free.  The options and be mixed and matched and can be dressy or casual.  I love them.

SandyD said to Sallygg 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

Are the clothes at Chico's very expensive?

imaprettywoman said to SandyD 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

I think so. They are a very upscale line, even when they are on sale.

Also from what I've seen of them they are kind of baggy. I know a lot of women here like them, but I didn't like the feel or the styling, especially the pants. Also I am 5' 7" and I find all their pants are too short in the legs.

I will say they are wrinkle free.

There's no substitute for Chico's in my book. Also I have found some good buys for travel from the TravelSmith catalog & website.

Helen Jones said to Judy Simms 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

While we are at it, does anyone know a good substitute for an old brand, Renfrew? I have a black suit I am still wearing to work almost every day after twenty years. Apparently, the brand is no longer available. I need only basic black trousers that will wear.

Any ideas?

I used to work for Renfrew Collection and have followed them ever since.  They are headquartered in NYC and in Secaucus NJ.  I am sure that you will be able to get info on what stores sell their stuff by calling them.  The official name is - Renfrew Collection Ltd.

what are chico's

i am travelling to disney, orlando in 3 weeks; any tips for what to pack?

PamD said to Judy Simms 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

I agree with the Chico's reference -- it's a boutique-type store with catalogues and a "Traveler's Collection."  Also, Belk Stores offer a line using the same fabrics but not as broad a selection.  You can find Chico's on the web or in most major cities.

As someone who travels frequently and prefers cotton/natural fabrics, I usually roll up my clothes and that works quite well.  Happy Trails.

..and for plus-size travel wear?

curvescovergirl said to dragonwitch 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

Discovery Trekking makes really nice moisture-wicking shirts that are great for travel. They have silver in the fabric, which kills bacteria so they don't get stinky, and can be rinsed in a sink..they will be totally dry in the morning. Although it isn't advertised on the website, they will make custom sizes, so if you call them they can do plus size. www.discoverytrekking.com

cmill said to dragonwitch 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

Chico's goes to size 20 (there's is size 3! Sounds great doesn't it!)  And Coldwater creek has similar styles in the same fabric in plus sizes.  I wear 20-22 and have a whole travel wardrobe of these!  LOVE THEM!!!

Hi Judy,

I have travelled extensively in my career and personally and have shopped with both Travelsmith.com and Magellans.com.  Both sell wonderful lines of wrinkle free and easy to pack clothing.  I also love Chico's travelers lines and some of the QVC citiknits.  Travelsmith has a microfiber tunic which has been a godsend.  Everything can be handwashed and hung to dry by morning.  Great when travelling light!

I worked at Coldwater Creek for 2 years and love their travel knit collection.  For going to Disney, I would suggest that you buy a crop pant in the travel knit... you can dress it down for roaming the park and then dress it up at night!  I have a friend who travels the world, and she loves Travel Smith AND the travel knits from Coldwater Creek.  Have a great time at Disney!

out and wear them again immediately!

SueGassen said to Jewels.2008 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

Totally agree about Chico's.  I wear them almost daily to work, as well as on business and for pleasure.  They wear like iron and only after hundreds and hundreds of washings do they begin to wear down.  I highly recommend them.  Can't speak to some of the other brands that have been mentioned.

auddie said to Jewels.2008 02/10/2010, 12:16AM new!

I used to buy the Travelers at Chicos but now I buy Citiknits on QVC or Slinky on HSN.  They are the same material and are half the price.

My favorite no wrinkle line is Misook. Her clothes are fabulous. WIth loots of mix and match a few pieces go a long way. They are expensive but I have been wearing the same pair of slacks for 5 years. That is 5 yrs of washing too. They don't get out of shape and the colors(even black) do not fade. Did I say I LOVE this line. Check out NM sales page on line for some very good prices. Where ever you are going, have fun.
