Keeping our minds active increases not only our enjoyment of life but our mental health as we age, so it makes sense to do everything we can to
- heighten our powers of observation--bird watching, anyone?
- seek out role models to imitate;
- experiment in the boardroom, bedroom, kitchen, garden, etc.;
- read widely;
- and take classes in anything and everything that tickles our fancy.
