Born in Tx in 1959. Moved to Virginia in 1988 with my second husband and a 6 week old baby. Re-married again to a Virginia man, this time finally grown up and in love.LOL (He's my keeper, been together now almost 20 years). I have a 16 yr old son, and a 22 year old daughter. No grandkids yet.

Property management was my first career, then owned a small food service business for 15 years. Business went bad with the ressession and other factors, so returned to college to get my nursing degree at the age of 50. As of Aprill, 2011 I have 4 more months to go.

Started another business before I went back to school that has really taken off. My husband and son raise reptiles as a hobby, so started a company called Reptile Adventure. We take our reptiles to birthday parties, daycare centers and any events featuring children in which we are invited. (ReptileAdventure.Biz)

How did you get to where you are now?

My bio pretty well sums it up. Starting all over again at the age of 52 in a new nursing career. Finally found my love after three marriages. (Im a slow learner)!!! Love Virginia and will never move back to Tx. Im a Christian, and thank God every day for so many blessings in my life.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I see that I am capable of most anything, and can survive things without going over board. I ended up raising a couple of really great kids, who are just really great people now. Not as jelous now that I found my true love. Not as hard on myself now that I know Im not the person my mother said I was. With the help of the Lord, have been able to completely forgive my mother for all the wrongs she did to me. I now recognize all of the blessings in my life and thank God all the time.  I like myself, and have confidence I didnt once have. Not so worried about what people think about me anymore. I see it as their loss if they dont care to like me.

I see my faults, and try to change what I can. I think about other's more now, and less about myself.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Still working as a nurse. Enjoying grandkids, and living in a maintenance free home. Driving and enjoying our 1969 Mustang convertable. Less worry about money, and hopefully healthy.

Dont rely on your good looks to get you through life because at around 45, those looks will fade and you will have had nothing else to fall back on. Educate yourself and change your attitude about yourself. No one cares as much about you than you do. If you knew how little they cared, you would not be so concerned about youself. Get over it and start living!!!!!

My grandmother who passed away when I was 26 years old. Definately my husband. He is a WONDERFUL man and person.
