Sandy Dumont

My Blog Circle:

I first discovered years ago, as a “painfully shy” teen in a new red dress, that the way I looked on the outside changed the way I felt on the inside.  Instantly empowered, I set out on a course that would have me similarly changing the lives of others for decades.

An excerpt from my "formal" bio:

Sandy Dumont, The Image Architect, is an international leader in the field of color and image.  Shaped by her extensive background in fashion education, modeling, art and psychology and 30 years’ experience as a consultant, she’s an established pioneer in the fields of image psychology and impression strategies.

Today Dumont teaches Fortune 500 executives, politicians, celebrities and others worldwide to dress for success and best present themselves within critical settings.  Her exclusive techniques, backed by scientific data and research, transcend current principles and trends within the field of image consulting.  As a sought-after lecturer, coach and author and director of the Impression Strategies Institute, she is frequently called upon by all media for expert advice.

Dumont is also a member of the National Speakers Association and current president of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Southeastern Virginia Chapter.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

I have the knowledge and reputation from years of study and learning. I never stop take courses to improve myself and increase my knowledge.

It's also necessary to market yourself in all the many ways possible:  by writing articles so that everyone becomes aware of your experties; by improving your internet skills, especially SEO; by networking - making yourself a "walking billboard" because in my busincess, you must always look polished and professional.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Ten years ago I was living in Brussels Belgium and regarded as the top image and color consultant in the country. In fact, I was chosen to be the image consultant for the Belgian State Television. In order to go to the highest level, I recognized that I need to be in the States, because internet marketing was just looming on the horizon and we were on dial-up in Belgium.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

My goal is to be regarded as the must trusted and known color and image consultant in the world, as a resut of having my "big" book on color and iamge published by then!

a postcard to my younger self

Sandy, everything is going to work out great. You're going to become a source of inspiration to other young women who have doubts about their image and their valueand self worth.
