Trixie

Ten years ago I had my first facial ( I am now 54), was blown over by the results, and realized the value of using skin care products vs. Dove/Oil of Olay.  For the next seven years I tried over eighteen different lines - some drugstore, some high priced dept. store, some spa brands.  There was a French brand I liked, and although it was expensive, decided to use it.  Then it became more difficult to get, they changed the 'funky' names, and with no one to help me I was so confused as what to get.  I then tried Yonka which was what all the spas were carrying at the time - I didn't like most of it, and even threw some things out.  Needing some kind of cleanser/moisturizer I tried Aveeno - totally dried out my already dry post-menopausal skin.  At this point, I was desperate.

I remembered that the young girl across the street had started selling Mary Kay.  I had tried it 25 years before, but didn't need serious skincare at the time.  She came over, and did a facial with me.  I liked the products, and ordered the Ultimate Miracle Set - Yes, this sounds like a corny commercial, but is 100% true!!!  It's now three years later - I did become a consultant, and my skin is better than ever.

I did learn that when you use products, no matter what brand, it's best to use the whole line, as not to double-up/miss out on active ingredients.  With MK you get a 'for any reason' money-back/exchange guarantee ~ A consultant/web-site to explain different products ~ catalogues ~ formulated for various skin types ~ up to date anti-aging ingredients.

I do like their make-up, but I always say, "The best make-up is good skin care."  I'm not afraid to go out with only brow pencil/lipgloss - okay, and a little bronzer.

I think of MK as a hobby because I enjoy using their products, and helping others look/feel better.  I sell it because I love it - not love it because I sell it!  I am not a pushy sales type, nor would I ever suggest that you sign on as a consultant 'on my team'.  That said, if you have any questions or concerns that you would like to ask me about, or would like a sample of the products, you can e-mail me at

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

One day at a time, not being afraid to make mistakes, knowing that I can redirect my path whenever need be.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Immediately after my mom died 10 years ago (I was 44), I took a look at her life, and decided to learn from her mistakes. I then took charge of my life, doing what I wanted - but never at the expense of anyone else.  I'm still caring & considerate, but expect others to treat me the same.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I am an adventurous type, so pretty much where MY wind takes me.

my role models

My mother & mother-in-law - learned from their love & mistakes.
