my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

I told the truth.  Oh, and there is this angel or something whose got my back.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Calmer.  More selective.  Less wordy, mmmhmmm.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
  • Amid high bushes of hydrangeas in blue, white and pink with a base of blue-green hostas.  The 'keep it simple' garden concept.
  • Richer in all things, including more skunks and Newfies and a cottage in the U.P..
  • I will receive a paycheck a day from thirty-one sources.
  • More time with friends than ever.
  • About everything I do, I will be writing novels, short shorts, essays, articles, doing research to check my facts, and blogging faster than a shooting star heading for the horizon.

a postcard to my younger self

Men will never tell you about plastic wire ties or duct tape.  Use the white or black wire ties and clear tape.  It's classier.

You are the frog. now focus and beat that stork.

You will have books to write on all this stuff, so pay close attention to the connections.

You will use all nine of your lives by age forty. *___*

When you meet someone or a fur creature you might bring home to live with you, hug them.  If they sigh and you sigh, that could be love.  Wait for it.....

Record all the remedies and recipes you discover. Someday your memory will fuddle.  When it does, 'remember' the natual progesterone cream - better yet, post it with duct tape on an entry door you have to use.

my role models

Other entrepreneurs I know. Hubby, who is still teaching me that what anyone thinks does now matter all that much, so be a duck.  Joan, who knows how to focus on the amazingness of others. Virginia, who walks quietly but is willing to swing a log when necessary. Naomi, who is never elusive.
