being Boswell

My Blog Circle:

I have worked as a psychotherapist for 31 years and as a result have fallen in love with women's stories, courage, and pain, including my own. Even as a girl, I was drawn into the questions of life; probably with the hope of understanding some of life’s mysteries, or perhaps just myself, if only for a moment. Relationships are my greatest teachers. Empowering women is my life’s passion. Falling in love often (with friends, my husband, nature, myself, my kids, my work) is imperative. I also write my own blog Being Boswell (please take a peek-let me know what you think) or visit my website at womenstherapypittsburgh.com

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?
I know I have set the stage to be where I am now, with the beliefs I hold, the company I keep, the choices I make. However, something else has had to be at work, cause some of my beliefs, my company and choices have sucked. Perhaps we all have inner gyroscopes that land us in places despite ourselves. Seems If I set my intention, follow what presents itself and keep faith in myself, I end up okay. Even better than okay some days!!
How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?
Happier. So much happier.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A best selling author. An international speaker on what matters to me most...living an examined life as a woman.

Retail Therapy

Last weekend really took it out of me. You know...it…the stuffing, the nugget, the pudding. It wasn’t seeing mom; feeling her vulnerability and loneliness. It wasn’t feeling my own helplessness and sadness.…
