Sandra K.

I am a 65 year old retired business owner and now the caregiver for my husband that has ALS, was dx 8 years ago.  And of course would rather have my life the way it was a few years ago but will never be.  I grew up happily in Michigan, lived in Florida since 1982.  Yea I am crazy for wanting to live back there now.  Have 2 adult children ages 43 and 38 and one 6 year old granddaughter that live close by.   Lost my parents that lived close by 5 weeks apart a couple years ago.  I miss them so much and being an orphan at my age still hurts.  Seems like all my life and experiences never have helped me for now.  Now is very different.

my role models

My 96 year old Aunt that grew up on the prairie in Montana when my Grandparents arrived from Hugary homesteading, graduated from college while in her 70's and is still growing her own garden.   My Mother.  She managed to live her own life married over 60 years to my old fashion wonderful Father.   What a love story they were.
