Erica Manfred is a freelance journalist in the areas of parenting, relationships and health whose articles and essays have appeared in Parenting, Ladies Home Journal, Womans Day, SELF, Cosmopolitan, New York Times Magazine and other publications. Divorced at sixty, she became interested in the plight of older divorcees and researched and wrote “He’s History; You’re Not; The Girlfriends Guide to Mid and Late Life Divorce (in Your 40s, 50s, 60s)” She facilitates Moving On; a women’s divorce support group in Woodstock, NY sponsored by the Ulster County Mental Health Association. Before becoming a writer she spent ten years as a caseworker with adolescents and a family court probation offer. She is the proud mom of one adopted and one foster daughter.
