Awaken Your Inner Cowgirl

My Blog Circle:

I am a Martha Beck Life Coach, with an additional unique specialty -- I sometimes use horses in my coaching practice to help women tune into their energy, their passion and learn more about themselves. It's called Equine Learning. Horses have been part of my life for a long time, and I am so happy to share what I have learned from them!

Here's my story of how I got here: When I was little, I lived in the suburbs of NY, and dreamt of riding through sagebrush fields on a golden palomino. Growing up in a working class family, I had no hope of riding horses, yet the dream kept recurring. Twenty-five years later I made that dream come true. I moved to California, started riding and now live in Santa Fe, the Land of Enchantment (and sagebrush). And yes, I do ride a golden palomino!

During my travels I discovered the Rodeo Cowgirls, women in the early 1900’s who “bucked the rules,” followed their hearts, and defied the Victorian Age. The first women in pro sports, they were stars of the time, entertaining crowds with bold tricks and competitions on horseback.

These women, these free spirits, have inspired me to set on a new path and create a business that is closely aligned with my heart.

After many years consulting in the corporate world, facilitating groups and working with horses and people, I offer this unique way of helping you to find meaning in your life.

Joy’s Detailed Experience:

For many years, I have been a consultant to the corporate world – in advertising, marketing, and communications. I facilitate groups and provide strategic and creative insight. This experience has been great – it’s been challenging, creative and has given me many opportunities to stretch myself while working with innovative, insightful people.

Now I’m in a new stage in life. My experience with horses, dogs, facilitating groups and speaking, have given me the skills to create a coaching practice that is unique, exciting and fun.

I feel it is my time to be of service and to give to my community and the world.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?
I got to where I am now by constantly growing, changing and listening to my inner voice.
How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?
I love myself more now. And because of that I am more confident, freer, more easy going and more able to have compassion and forgiveness.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I dont' know, it's an adventure! And I'm in it for the ride!

Love yourself and listen to that inner voice. It doesn't lie!
