Magnolia

Okay.  My story.  It's a long one.  I'm over fifty after all and you can't live fifty plus years and not have something to tell.

I remember the Beatles on Ed Sullivan.  I remember the day JFK was assasinated and I lived in Memphis, TN before MLK was assasinated.  I remember the anger, the tension and the madness of the 60's in the Deep South.  It affected me.

I love Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and The Supremes.  I'm a southern girl through and through and if I could still pull it off would rather wear cut-offs and no shoes.

My hair is silver and I love it, I'm not the skinny young thang I used to be and that's okay with me.......besides, have you seen David Crosby lately?   I rest my case.

I blog and I'm a musician - something I took up in my forties.  I still dream of that novel I will publish one day and for now, I'm really, really, REALLY loving the focus, clarity and moxy that turning fifty has brought.

Bring it on!
