my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

I think it was education.  I majored in art and took several writing clasess, plus all the required courses.  Arizona State University, Phoenix College and Glendale College plus some intensive workshops in both writing and art formed me.  I went back to college in my thirties before it was fashionable to do so because there were so many things I wanted to learn. If you look me up on Google or want to check out my books, please use my middle initial — Gene K. Garrison.  Otherwise you won't find what you are looking for.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I don't see much change except for the fact that I'm ten years older.  I still write, paint, photograph, and go to meetings.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In ten years I'll be in the Sedona Community Cemetery — and I'll be VERY thin.

a postcard to my younger self

Dear Gene,

You were a good kid, and you've done more than you ever dreamed.

I'm proud of you.

Love,

Gene

my role models

The earliest person I admired was Amelia Earhart.  I didn't really model myself after anyone.
