Scribbler

I am a scribbler and I have been all my life. I scribble ideas and I scribble poetry - I scribble down lyrics and melodies to songs - I scribble in the margins and I scribble in the sand -  I scribble out stories and I scribble lists.

I scribble to remember and I scribble to forget. I scribble just to amuse myself. Mostly I scribble so that somewhere along the way there weill be proof that I was here.

My definition is that I write a lot and it's all rough, so it's scribbled down.

I adore my husband of 33 years and even when he drives me crazy sometimes - I wouldn't trade him for anything.  I have kids and grandkids - I have MCTD (Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder) which is a combination of Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, IBS, Lupus, and PTSD.  I have bad days = but I have good days and those are mostly what I focus on.

I am eclectic and varied in my tastes. I like to read, watch movies, play my guitar and make love to my husband. I like the country life but enjoy the excitement of the city. I love the tropics, but the mountains give me a thrill.

Above all else I like sincerity, compassion, humor, and creativity = honesty is not an option.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

By being a dreamer and a gypsy. Hard work, determination and a lot of gumption with a decent dose of naivete along the way (long faded).

Sometimes you just have to reach for the brass ring - if it needs polishing then grab the elbow grease.

My education was good, but I learned more from the 'School of Hard Knocks' than in any classroom.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Ouch - in some ways more vital and in other ways like I totally blew it.

Now I can see where I blew it and thoroughly appreciate the vitality - still learning - but I don't laugh enough.

I look better now, older, but better. I feel better in some ways, but the arthritis is older.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Somewhere warmer!   Living a different and more exciting life, with more solid evidence from my days - but having more time to keep focused.

Still learning - exploring - laughing more.

a postcard to my younger self

Pay attention - to yourself.
