MacJenna

I was born in Massachusetts and have moved 41 times in my life. I now reside in Central Florida with my two sons. After graduating with a BS in Written Communications from Eastern Michigan University, I started working in marketing and PR for various corporations and non profits. Currently, I'm a full time marketing manager for a software company and a full time single mom.

I wrote Black Hole: A Novel on a dare. After writing it, things in the book started happening to me!  After this experience, I encourage other women to write their life from now to the age of 85 as they want it to be.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

LMAO.  The usual route of waitressing, college, various jobs. Then a marriage (I settled), two children, more jobs, a divorce, and now a novel.

I have this weird "it will be fine" attitude most of the time.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I'm someone's MOM!   There will always be things I need to or want to do and that's ok.  I am less insecure in some ways, and more in others.  I am starting to understand that I have to put me first or my young boys don't have their foundation.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Writing for a living. Not living in Florida.

a postcard to my younger self

You are loved and cherished just the way you are.

People are not judging you half as harshly as you do yourself.

Be more gentle with you. The things you say to yourself you would not say to a best friend.

You are stronger than you will ever imagine.

Yes you can.

Sure, do it!
