I am Mary deGroat Ross, the creator of many stories and tales. I never grew up, never matured, never took life too seriously, never lost my sense of wonder, never lost my innocence, never grew bitter, never stopped day-dreaming, never felt that something couldn't be embellished, never acted like I "should", never was "a proper young lady" or a "sensible" adult. I have always taken every opportunity to believe in miracles, the unlikely and the downright impossible. I do not believe in things that hold most people down. I live my life knowing that there are no guarantees, no directions and no retakes. I make no excuses, give no explanations and do not lay blame. This is who I am because it is who I choose to be, take me or leave me, just know that what you see is what you get. I offer only entertainment and maybe some respite from the mundane. Thanks to my kids for keeping me real, my husband who makes me feel extraordinary, and to my dear friend, Kim Tastrom, who never let me stop believing that maybe, just maybe, I could someday see my books on a shelf in a book store. Without her, I would not have kept my trying.
