My Blog Circle:

I am a Bostonian by birth, but now have landed in the middle of the country in Oak Park Il. I've had life filled with extraordinary experiences. Of course, the best is parenting my soon-to-be 17 year old daughter who is exasperating and enchanting at once. I love my work. I am studying for an MBA. I have the best friends in the world.  In my spare time, I like to read, cook, exercise, be with my friends, listen to music in Millennium Park, get my daughter to talk to me for at least three minutes. I am very grateful for everything I have and experience.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

I just put one foot in front of the other and did what was in front of me. I think that's the trick to life.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I have been through a lot in the past ten years -- lived in Connecticut, San Francisco and now just outside Chicago. I am more compassionate and more flexible. I don't judge too much any more, at least try not too. I am also much more appreciative of life and people in general.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I really haven't a clue. Hopefully, with a daughter securely launched and using my MBA in a responsible and compassionate way.

Finding the Joy in Simple Things

Through most of my life I have been seeking joy in the big moments -- an interesting vacation to a special destination, the next bonus check, that special outfit. But over the last couple years, particularly this past year, I am beginning to find those moments of happiness in the small, unexpected things. read more »
