I am married & a mother of three who passed the half-century mark last year. My interests include; science (environmental, geology, biology), water (sailing, kayaking), walking & talking with friends, reading (generally spiritual or wellness topics, thoughtful novels), hiking, biking and spending time with family (cards, movies).

I am currently searching for meaningful employment that involves teaching, mentoring. It may mean more education. Maybe a complete directional shift. This girl is not ready to cash in her chips. Have I even reached my zenith?

I have lived in a few states, too. I was born a little restless, easily bored, always feeling like the grass is always greener somewhere other than here. I am working on this! Born in Wisconsin, lived in Louisiana (briefly), Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia and now Indiana. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the northwoods (upper midwest & Canada). Most, if not all, of our moves have been job related.

We have a labrodor retriever, three cats and live on a few acres in the woods with a pond, and enjoy the benefits of living in the country while having easy access to a city.

How did you get to where you are now?

Lots of mentors, lots of agonizing, lots of interests, holding the vision.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Ten years ago I was shaking off those "unwritten rules" and writing my own. Because of that mid-life crisis, I have enjoyed more personal growth.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Transitioning to being an instructor on a 9-10month contract, enjoying my home & summer cottage up north...all with family & friends. I am slimmer, too. Hah!

Life will go by in a snap. Treasure your spouse, spend time with your kids at every opportunity, and quit being so self-absorbed about your weight.
