MktgMolly

Red is my favorite color. Besides the fact that it highlights my coloring, it reflects who I am. Passionate, Bold, Opinionated, Self-Confident.

I have been married for 28 years and have raised a 26 yr old son and a 21 yr old daughter. Having gone through the struggles of raising children in a westernized culture, while trying to hold on to some of the conservative values of my upbringing, I can be a resource to anyone who is in a similar situation.

My professional career spans more than 30 years in all areas of marketing. My biggest love is writing and my dream is to publish the stories that are unique to my background and gain recognition for my writing.

Among my interests are cooking, entertaining, dancing, reading, walking, documentaries and movies or TV programs with great writing - a la Frazier. The Gladiator, GodFather trilogy, Steel Magnolias are movies I watch tirelessly because of the characters embodying weakness and strength.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

By God's grace. Some decisions were deliberate, some just happened. Although disappointed sometimes, I later saw the hand of God and learned from every experience.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I am better equipped to handle disappointments - personal and professional. I am better able to accept that my children will make their own choices and that they may not always meet with my approval. I also know that I need to get working on  my writing and pursue my dreams because my children are now old enough to take care of themselves.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

A published writer reading with my grandchildren, traveling and experiencing life.

Don't worry so much about perfection. Life isn't perfect. Keep your dreams alive and remember that there isn't an ideal marriage. Appreciate the moments.
