I am a widow for the past 10 years - 61 years old.  I met my fiance on line on match.com.  He is also originally from NY, like me and it was so coincidental that we grew up within 20 miles of each other and now in Georgia live 20 miles from each other.  Fate / Kismet is strange at times.  The one thing I probably learned is that no matter what happens in life, we just never know what possibilities are out there - in love, business, all things; until we are willing to step out of our comfort zone and grab on to opportunities and investigate the possibilities.  I never would have thought my life would have turned out the way it did - who would have known - and I'm sure many ladies on here feel the same way.  Guess we always just have to view life as an adventure and keep coming back up to the challenges.

How did you get to where you are now?

Mostly through the school of hard knocks.  Perserverance, tenacity and an unwillingness to give up my dreams.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Much more independent, better educated in the sense of understanding people (particularly men), more open to possibilities, less afraid.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Well, hopefully still vigorous and sassy and adventuresome.

Learn about investing - this is very important and will make a really major difference in your future.  And travel - it's a great big wonderful world out there - do not become myopic due to a lack of seeing and experiencing our world.
