Mary57

Born in 1957 in Chicago, Married in 1980 and am still married to the same man.  I have one daughter born in 1982.  Living in Florida.  I love spending time with my husband, my daughter, my cat and my friends.  I love to do some rubberstamping, Love to read, LOVE the internet and am learning about wine and all that goes with that.

 

I am a new employee of the National Park Service and I adore my job.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

Bumpy Road, took the love of a good man and good friends to make sure that I knew I had some worth in this world.  Over the River and through the woods so to speak.  

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

10 years ago I was worried about everything.  I was very insecure in my job, had very few friends and found life to be more of a chore than a wonderful journey.  I was on edge all the time and didn't very much care for myself. 

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years I see myself still working for the National Park Service.  I do hope I am a grandmother and I hope to be taking lots of vacations.  AS I get older I get more confident in who I am and what I have to give.  It is a good thing.

my role models

My role model has always been my mother.  They were similar in a lot of ways and though both are gone now, I think they lived in such a way that they did what they thought was right and the rest of the world be damned.  That took Guts, it took heart.
