Grandma's Briefs

My Blog Circle:

Hi ... I'm Lisa ... and I'm a grandma, a mom, a wife. I'm also a freelance writer looking for yet another way to keep my writing muscle flexed.

I've been married to the same man for nearly 30 years. We have three beautiful and amazing adult daughters, one awesome son-in-law (married to our middle daughter), the two most beautiful and goofy grandsons in the universe (one born in 2008 and the other 2011; both are children of the middle daughter and her hubby), two cats, a pointer/pit mix dog, a black lab/pit mix and an endless list of chores to keep our old house habitable.

I'm a long-distance grandma, with my grandsons living in the desert while I live in the mountains. That's hard as hell. Blogging about the grandma experience -- while still working the "mom" position -- is one of the ways I hope to cope.

You can find me posting daily on my site, Grandma's Briefs.

a postcard to my younger self

Buckle up! It's a bumpy ride but well worth it. Just keep moving forward, even when you feel like turning around and retreating to safety.

Most importantly: Make the most of every leg of the trip!

Enjoy!
