Laura Susan

I am a mother of one child, my son Scott, and a grandmother of 4 beautiful grandchildren, Diana, Mackenzie, Wyatt and Savannah.  I am a recent new business owner, a microbusiness as a virtual assistant to the catering and event planning industry. I am spiritual and a strong believer in the law of attraction.  I was a military "brat" for 20 years, then a desert rat, if you will as a resident of Arizona for 27 years.  I now live happily in Florida.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

My journey has been an amazing ride that just keeps getting better.  I was born into a military family and spent the first 20 years of my life traveling, through the U.S., Germany and Japan.  We lived in the Midwest until I was about 18 and then left for the "wild west", Tempe, Arizona.  I lived and worked there for 27 interesting and vibrant years.  I got married and divorced, had a wonderful son, changed my career direction and then moved to Florida.

Since coming to Florida I have played on the beaches, had fun in the sun and wore out my welcome in banking!  Best thing that has happened to my career in years, shook it up and I came out better for the situation and have now started a business of my own.  I am now adventuring into female entrepreneurship as a virtual assistant, an executive assistant from home virtually to the catering and event planning industry, it has been the best time in my career.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Wow, I am so much better then I was ten years ago. More self assured, more in touch with who I am and what I want in life.  More accepting of myself, my faults and my great attributes.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

As a proud business owner most likely two businesses.  My desire is to always help people, my initial business is doing that with carefully honed skills developed over the past 2 decades.  My secondary business will most likely be using my great cooking skills to teach women great ways to cook, not be deprived of what you love and lose weight.  Sound like a dream, it is based in practical and easy formula.  Better then cooking yourself thin, it is not just taking the things that you love and making them better, it is combining ingredients to make everything you eat healthier.

Believe in yourself, remember how creative you are and the love you have of helping people.
