my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

Trial and ERROR.  One bumblebutt adventure after another. A work, STILL, in progress.

I know know that life took me, I did not take it.  THAT IS CHANGING SISTER!

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Independent. Confident. Not at all afraid of being single or getting old.  I want to look good, but I don't care if it all hangs out. What's it to you anyway?   More Alive.

Ready to take on new adventures and see the world. Maybe Vista or Peace Corps. Maybe just travel.

Very concious that I have too many THINGS and too much STUFF.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Detached from Things.  Slowly and methodically getting rid of almost everything I own so that I can have the adventure of a lifetime.

Spend a year in Italy then off to Greece for a year, then Spain, then France then...  When I am tired I will settle down...maybe...

a postcard to my younger self

Postcards to my younger self:

Have a plan. Work your plan. Make sure your happiness is at the top of the plan.

Take care of your body. It REALLY is your temple. You will live in it forever.

Do what you love.  If you stop loving it, have courage, and do something different.

Embrace change. Learn to enjoy the challenge and the thrill.

From the first day that you work, save for your freedom (retirement), always pay yourself first. Always.  Security creates the longest, safest, BEST retirement.

Never stop enjoying the thrill of adventure, discovery and learning.

TRAVEL.

my role models

First and foremost, my parents. Their love, attention, nurturing and teaching have made me strong and resilient .

After my Parents, there are a number of people who have inspired me.   Eleanore is one of my favorites, an impactful force for good  on so many levels.

Great minds discuss ideas,
Average minds discuss events,
Small minds discuss people.
-Eleanore Roosevelt

Email headache, or is it eye strain?

Regarding Vibrant Nation emails—-Am I the only person that finds the dark colored bars (with print content,) running through the headline stories, hard to read??
