Four months ago I was working as a corrections officer in Texas. Today I live in IL and attend community college in the culinary mgmt program in my quest to be a personal vegetarian chef, walking 3+ miles at least 3 days a week.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

Visited our old hometown with daughter in the summer & had an overwhelming feeling that it was home, so decided to quit my job & move back to be near old/new friends; go to old church; participate in activities I enjoyed, like drumming; & see a counselor recommended by one of those friends. That counselor utilized EFT (emotional freedom technique) & with her guidance and within a few months I got over my divorce, which happened 8 years ago; worked through "mother" issues & discovered what my passion is: cooking.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Ten years ago I was unhappy in my marriage, but I didn't know exactly how unhappy. I was insecure and considered myself a victim. Today I am no longer a victim, slave to past feelings that have no bearing on my present and actually looking at ME and what makes me happy: cooking, exercising, being healthy and fit.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I picture myself as a healthy, fit woman still cooking, only I'm also teaching others how to cook healthy meals.
