Anne Bain

Baby boomin travelista whose passion is enabling others to achieve their desired lifestyle through self education.

I have just relaunched a website which is now a free membership site all about Self Learning and Personal development at http://www.selflearningclub.com and have my new travel website at http://www.bbtravel.com.au.

There are many worthwhile causes and the one that I mainly support is Cancer Research. Having lost my father,my mother,my mother-in-law, a cousin, 2 uncles, an aunt and 3 close friends to varying forms of cancer I want to do all I can to spur on the research that is needed to eliminate this terrible disease. I have started the "$1 is all it Takes" project and my challenge is to convince every business to donate $1/month/week/sale/member etc and mulitply this all around the world and we can get some serious research dollars happening. Now I am doing this for cancer research, can you imagine if people did the same thing for their particular charity!

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

I 'fell' into travel - I was always orgainising sporting trips and just decided it was better to be paid for doing it. I also absolutely love traveling and having a real travel 'experience'.

As I got older I realised I still wanted to be involved in the business but also wanted to help others achieve the success that I had achieved so established myself as an internet marketer and now have the best of both worlds.

Sometimes you wonder if you are doing the right thing and then someone turns around and says you have done a good job or you win an award. I was just recently recognised in the 2009 Whos Who of Australian Women and again in the 2010 Whos Who for my outstanding contribution to the business and corporate sector.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I think with age comes wisdom and by that I mean you have more confidence and speak your mind when you know it will make a difference.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I will definitely still have my businesses but they will be on autopilot so that I will be spending more time with my children and grandchildren and traveling of course.
