How did you get to where you are now?

Struggle. Determination. Audacity. Irreverance. Grit. Sheer will. Laughter. LOTS of laughter.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Ten years ago, I was dying in a marriage that left me malnourished. The divorce left me reeling with grief. It was hard to see clearly.

Today I am a new woman. Confident, aware, and as steely in resolve as I will ever be.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

At 64, I hope to be enjoying life even more in a new residence in a different state somewhere. I see myself surrounded with friends with whom I can begin a congenial retirement. I will travel as often as possible to see the world in its variety.

Dear Me, You always believed it would get better. Thank you for keeping your core true. Thank you for not believing what others shouted and whispered about you. Thank you for your strength to withstand the blows dealt by others who would condemn your being, confuse you with their self-deceptions, steal everything that was good in you from you. Bless you for your purity of heart and the trust you always had for yourself.

microcalcification in breast

I was recently diagnosed with a Class 4 designation after getting a 2nd mammogram and ultrasound. Docs have recommended a biopsy. I've read that if the microcalcifications remain in the breast duct, breast cancer is highly unlikely. Has anyone experienced a happy ending with this condition?read more »
