I am 63, live in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia...  also known as "Paradise"...  I have two daughters 39 & 35 years old...  (can't beleive that !!!) I love to hike, cross-country ski, golf ( just the easy stuff though),  go to live theatre and concerts...  Attend the Alliance Church regularly...  and look forward to the next adventure that life has to offer !!!!!

How did you get to where you are now?

In 1991 I found myself living alone in a rented apartment...  in the Cariboo country of BC.  My marriage had ended, daughters moved out, the farm had been sold and although I was working, I knew I could get a job anywhere...  So I began my healing journey by aking myself....  If I could live anywhere in this big wide world...  where would it be ????  I chose the Okanagan Valley..  here in B.C. and have never for a moment regretted my choice !!!

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

10 years ago I went back to college and obtained my Optician's License...  Then created and operated my own award winning Optical Dispensary !!!!  I never dreamed I would become an Optician...  much less create my own store !!!!  We never know what life has in store for us...  we just need to recognize and grab hold of the opportunities when they are presented to us !!!!!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

10 years from now....  I will only be 73....  I see myself traveling the world to visit all of the places that I have not yet had a chance to see...Maybe another Medical Mission trip...  hopefully with a partner......

Well Chris, Here you are at age 63...  still young, healthy and thinking positive...  If only you had learned at 30 or 40 to set firm boundaries, trust your own values that they will not desert you when the chips are down,  believe in yourself...  that you CAN do IT !!!  no matter what obstacles are in your path...  believe in the goodness in all people (as you always have) but realize that some folks will try to manipulate your choices...  and trust your own intincts as to how to deal with these.  listen to all suggestions with an open mind...  then do it your way using all of the information that you have gathered...  making very informed, intelligent choices that you will not regret.....

My Mom has always been my role model....  She was always kind, thoughtful, respectful of others and would help everyone in any way that she could...  Mom passed away in 2006, but I know she is one of my Angels and will be with me always....
