This is the short of a very long story of a girl who travels but never knew where she was going.

I grew up in a suburban town in Illinois 50 miles south of Chicago, but born with a desire to live on a farm with as many animals as I could find. This was not possible but I kept trying.

I became pregnant and married young. Tried to imbrace what a mother should be and had four children all together. After years of whining and complaining we moved them to a farm. Those were the best years for me and them. We sadly did not stay there long and move back to a hobby farm. Then along with my girls raised and showed horses.

When they were all 18 I left my first husband because honestly, although he was a good provider, I did love this man and could not see myself taking care of him as we got older.

I moved myself to Montana to experience real rural living, I had a amazing love story and met the man I know am totally in love with. We lived together in Montana for 10 years and had all kinds of struggles and stories. We faced the music of no future there and made a tough decision to give up our dream and move to his home country Belgium. Much tougher for me as I had to leave my family behind.

I have now lived in Belgium for 2 years and I am trying to learn the Dutch language (very difficult and I am not that interested in it) and finding a life here. If it were not for the computer I would not be able to do this. I am throwing myself into my Photography as it keeps me moving forward. I grow everyday and just let life be.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

Basically by making the changes I knew I had to make and the ones I had no control over I just excepted and tried to make the best of them.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I have more confidence, I know myself better, and I am excepting what life has for me today

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself enjoy my career as an Equine Photographer, and traveling and enjoying where I live where ever that may be. Also spending quality time with family and friends and my husband.

a postcard to my younger self

To You

You have always been fabulous and good enough, and just because you do not fit the normal mode does not mean you should not feel confident. You are creative, spontanious, and a lover of nature and a protector of the beast. In your life always keep them close for your own survival.

my role models

Actress: Susan Serandan because she is aging so gracefully without trying to hold on to her youth.

Top Nature Photographer: Because I admire their talent and learn from the work.

My Best Friend Sue: Because she is always there when I need to talk about my crazy life.

My children: Because they have overcome the things that kept me blocked.

My husband: Because he is so gentle and so humble.
