Born in a small town to a single mom who died when I was 15.  Put myself through college.  Outside me looked like I knew what i was doing, inside me stayed an abandoned teen for years!  Fell into teaching but it became a passion in my 30s.  Had two wonderful boys who wanted me to stay home.  Then, became a very bored stay at home mom.  Now, trying to reinvent myself.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

Through education, reading, self reflection, talking with my best women friends and enjoying being a mom.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Ten years ago, I disliked myself, felt like a failure, too weak to believe in myself.  AsChristiane Northrup writes, there is wisdom in menopause.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Completing my rebirth - kids will be on their own and I hope to be in a new passion.

a postcard to my younger self

Celebrate your successes more rather than your shortcomings.  You're good enough!

my role models

My mom, sister, best friend.  Used to use "famous" people as role models but it got more and more depressing as I just got older, and they became more famous!
